Heheh, sneakin' pot leafs into the background, eh? Don't think I didn't see those. That aside, idk, I think this is deserving of a higher rating. It really is fairly well made and pretty fun. Idk, people can be fickle when it comes to games.

I've done it you evil bastards, I've done it. Everything. All the stars, all the achievements, all the unlocks, everything. I sure hope when I'm an old man on my death bed, wishing more than anything that I had back even just a few more hours of my youth, that I will look back on this sort of stuff and view it as having been a worthwhile use of my time on earth...Right, but you need a far more likable antagonist, I freakin' hate the haddock. He's so ugly and retarded looking that I wish he'd just die and I'd never have to see him again. Good villains are supposed to balance hatred and respect, but the haddock is just dumb yo. Yes, I realize it's not like he plays much of a role in anything, but he still shows up consistently.

Oh shit, there must not be any males in this world (death could be one, but he/it doesn't count). The whole game makes more sense now...the lack of care taken with boob coverage, the lesbian-ish vibe I got from a lot of the characters, the protagonists apparent fascination with tentacles, as evidenced by the conversation prior to facing the boss in the second challenge level. That being said, I think maybe the main character secretly wants to make love to the fairy woman, possibly utilizing tentacles somewhere in the process. C'mon, you can't tell me that their semi-antagonistic relationship doesn't come off like a guy flirtatiously teasing some uptight chick he has the hots for. Maybe that will happen in the second installment of the game, which will hopefully be entitled "eisydian saga 2: lesbians vs. slimes".

Developer response from Aesica

To put it as simply as possible: I can't draw males for crap. D: Way back in the beginning, Raisa (the faerie from the first level who accompanies you) was going to be some druid dude, but like, the result was nothing short of ghastly.

Apparently this is also a magical world where every single woman has spectacular boobies and has no qualms with showing them off to any onlookers. That would be quite a magical world indeed...Uh, right, the game. Idk, others seem to have all these complaints with it, but imo they all seem kinda minor. And yeah, the main char is kind of a sarcastic bitch, but that's pretty common really. Often times it's a guy, but the old "Seemingly apathetic badass who's a selfish, abrasive jerk on the outside yet is good and caring deep down" is extremely common. What freakin' planet do you ppl live on that the idea of the main char being sort of prickly and disagreeable is at all novel?

Ok, actually, speaking of creating movements, apparently if you make every category unimportant then try to paint something in that style it breaks your franc counter. It resets it to zero and it won't move from there...not that it matters though, because there doesn't really appear to be any ultimate goal here. I've got...well, had, a couple hundred thousand francs, had maxed skills was at 100 stars, and was BFFs with all the other painters, and yet nothing ever happens. Is there actually an end somewhere?

The only thing is that I would've liked to see somewhat more powerful hats. By the second level I'd already gotten the hat that makes artisans work 25% slower and, more importantly, instantly recharges your divine pillar every time you hit a scarab with a fireball, and I ended up using it the entire game because all the others just barely did anything.

Oh right, but to be honest I'm not sure how the site will take to this. It's a remake, but there isn't too much that's remade about it. Essentially it still consists primarily of other people's work, and kong often doesn't like that, for good reasons. Idk, we'll see.

Developer response from radarek

Yeah, you are probably right. But I did it for couple of reason: original company which released this game doesn't exist. Supaplex is kind of forgotten and I wanted to give it second life. If it were not I would not do that.

Save and load is pretty nice. Unfortunately this also still has that terribly unforgiving old-school feel to it, like back in the olden days when they never actually checked to make sure their games weren't more frustrating than fun. I think maybe that's why we have an obesity problem right now; back in the old days you'd play a game that, say, let you get 3/4 of the way to the end then would laugh and say "Haha, you don't have this one item you need! Time to start over!" or "Haha, you made a bad decision 8 levels back! Now you lose! Have fun playing it all again!", which would invariably make you rage quit and hate the game...except the majority if games were like that, so you'd wind up saying "Screw this shit." and going outside instead.

Really? You have to get all medals to win? Dear god, are you serious? So I spent that ridiculous amount of time running when all I had to do was intentionally die via only getting hit by freakin' mushrooms to get the second last medal and finish? Why the hell didn't you at least make the final achievement "complete all other achievements and escape the nightmare" then? There is no indication whatsoever that medals have anything at all to do with winning, at no other point do achievements have any bearing on the game, how did you think we'd figure this out exactly? Perhaps I'm a tad angrier than appropriate, but man, I spent a rather long time trying to beat this the other day, when there weren't any comments to do the game's job by giving me some guidance, and the longer I spent the more determined I was to finish and not have wasted my time. It was only after topping the high scores at the time that I realized I should just give up.

Developer response from innomin

The game is a recurring nightmare, so standard rules don't apply. It's a puzzle, and there are at least a few hints in-game about what you have to do. Sorry man, but I think the rage is misguided.

By golly, there must have been a pretty copious amount of cash and/or BJs exchanging hands for this to get a badge. Or maybe blackmail was involved. Seriously though, does kong not make enough already whoring themselves out to all those browser mmos that now they need to accept money from random assholes looking to gain attention for their terrible games? I don't like the path they're going down here. Pretty soon badges are going to wind up being nothing but a glorified advertisement for whoever is willing to cough up the dough.

Man, you really shot yourself in the foot with those ads. The game itself is actually pretty alright, but did you honestly think anyone was going to take kindly to you making us stop for an ad every single time we changed levels, especially when it's obvious that it's that way b/c the dev cared more about greed than making a quality game? Hell, in the end you would've prob made more by not being obnoxious with the ads. I mean, I'm not entirely sure how cash is doled out when it comes to games being successful, but I do know that nobody, including advertisers, are going to want anything to do with games that no one is willing to play. So I guess enjoy w/e short term gain you got out of this, b/c there's no way in hell you'll have a successful future if you continue with this kind of shit. Fortunately at least I have adblock so I don't have to see the ads themselves, but I still have to sit there and wait until I can close the ad screen.

Anyways, the second thing is that while this is certainly masterfully crafted and clearly had a lot of work go into it (you must really like art. This is quite a graphically involved game), I still think you'd do better cutting the price off at $5. Psychologically ppl have a # of distinct cutoff points when considering prices where anything below is considered small money in comparison to anything above, even if the price dif is relatively small. I say this b/c very often $5 is one of those cutoffs. By increasing the price to 7.50 (which would tend to round to 10 instead of 5 in one's head as ppl commonly think in 5s when below 100) you might be making 50% more per sale, but I can almost guarantee that you'd see far more than a 50% increase in sales at $5. On top of it, if you were dealing in material goods you'd have a per-unit cost to you, but in this case it would actually be better to make more sales for less cost each, as that means potential extra word-of-mouth at no cost to you.

Man, I hate when I finish fantasy-type RPGs. I get attached to the chars after spending hours upon hours making them all strong and awesome, then suddenly I'm like"Shit, well I guess that's it, I'm done...". Then we're dropped right back at the menu with the sad, slow piano music. It's depressing. I guess that means you made the chars relatable (despite what dumb lance says. See, that's why he never gets to participate in fights), which is good. Anyways, on a more serious note, 2 things: while originally I'd thought you should just let all 4 chars in battle at once, imo it was a good choice to only let 3. That seems just right in these situations. Once you get to 4 things start getting a little hectic and tough to manage. The second thing...well, actually I'll use another comment box ->

I am going to say now definitively that if there isn't an end, or if there is one it's not within any form of a realistic distance. I just ran for 1651 meters and got nothing. I spent 15 freakin' minutes straight just sitting here zoning out, running and jumping and running and jumping and hoping I wasn't wasting my time and yet still there was no end. To be honest I'm kind of wondering whether the developer isn't just trying to pull a fast one by making it sound like we can win and making a badge for winning when we can't. Again, even if there is an end, there's no way in hell I'm going to continue taking monotonous 15 minute+ chunks of time trying to reach it. There should really be a period of invulnerability after getting hit BTW. I guess there's a tiny one here, but it's really small.

Developer response from innomin

Okay, we've passed "frustrated" and entered "angry". I'm going to be specific then. The end is not distance based, as this game has high scores. You see the ending when all challenges are complete and all medals won (except the obvious one). I have tested and beat the game at least twice on Kongregate - it is possible.
