I still don't understand how or why this...thing was given badges, and I don't think I ever will. It makes me goddamned curious about the details, though. It wasn't gifted with them for quality or for having a massive following, certainly, so...what is it, then? It's a mystery.

Aaannnd...I just lost Abuja twice in a row. After taking Abuja. Twice in a row. No. Not doing this. What a way to ruin a good game, man. I'm sorry.

I'll add to the complaints that cities are recaptured far, far too often. I lost my first city almost as soon as I took Africa, and now it feels like I can barely make any meaningful progress before a city is taken again, usually immediately after I confirm that I've just conquered a new one. The popup that tells you this also stops time in-game, meaning that you can't even leave it running to accumulate cash. This is ridiculous. Taking cities is literally the least interesting aspect of the game, and having to *constantly* retake what you have rightfully earned seriously detracts from it as a whole. I'm not even sure that I'll bother with the easy badge. It's a shame, because there's definitely potential here.

Still at it, seventeen days after I started. You people have made an impressively addictive game, here. I must retract the complaints I leveled at the Great Whacker of Bushes, for he is, in fact, an extremely powerful crusader. I was simply using him in entirely the wrong way. For most of a run, he does not contribute much at all and it may seem that he never will, but his true power lies in wall breaking. Put him next to your strongest crusaders with some click-buffing allies to support, and he can allow you to push through a boss or two that would otherwise halt your progress. Blow your temporary buffs, and he can become a veritable juggernaut. In short, he's key to reaching difficult objectives without farming for hours on end. A niche function, but situationally very useful. Eagerly awaiting the implementation of more Talents; grinding for idols can be a chore and it will be very refreshing to have other ways of making further progress in the game.

Awesome! Happy to hear you've stuck with it! We hope that the talents will make all types of gameplay styles more interesting. =)

Love the game. There's not much I can add that others have not, but suffice to say that it's by far the most addictive idler on Kongregate that I have played. However, I am finding the Bush Whacker to be incredibly useless, and have gotten into the habit of flipping off his stupid face whenever his items clog my treasure chests. He's done it twice in a row now. No, I am not going to tank my DPS in order to do 1% of the average enemy's health every click, and none of his equipment will ever make him deal more than that unless there is some secret I am missing. He is essentially making my chests useless at times, and that is literally all he does outside of making the first level passable.

Hi Urdronar, Glad you're enjoying the game. Thank you for the thorough feedback on the Bush Whacker. I've passed it along to the team. :)

Oh, the blatant League of Legends ripoffs are just lovely. Wow. I'm really inspired now. Why does this thing have badges? Why, man? There are scores of great games on this site that actually deserve them. This is bizarre.

Even one were to remove the bloat, fix the glitches, and most of all, wipe the pay-to-win aspect from existence, the fact remains that there's almost no gameplay here. You literally just start a fight and watch or do something more productive in another tab until it's over. Moreover, even if you do enjoy the game enough to pay money for it, the prices are ridiculous. This cruddy "diamonds pack" is a full ten dollars. What the hell? I could buy an actual game for that, a real, fully developed, decent game.

Evidently, paid assassination is commonplace and widely accepted in Tempor. Throughout the entire series, nearly all quests outside of finding the gen consist of this and this alone. Sometimes you fetch something while you're at it, but apparently the average Temporian's idea of progress is to mercilessly murder and pillage the other guy and take his stuff. Where are the good guys, man?

A great improvement on its predecessor, despite being largely identical in gameplay and style and re-using the same plot device. I had a strong feeling that the first game could have been made twice as entertaining with only minor adjustments, and this installment proves it. It also progresses much faster and with a minimum of grinding; I reached level 41 by the end, maxed out every skill, and fully allied with three factions with barely any extra effort outside of completing quests. The only thing that bugs me is that, with an IQ of 300, the most powerful artifact on the continent in my hands making me essentially a demigod, and untold learning in arcane and mystical arts, my arch-wizard still cannot discern how on earth to pass over these confounded, knee-high wooden fences. There's hardly any need to murder the entire Black Council; just build fences around their stronghold. They will never figure out how to escape, trust me. It's impossible. Even the Heartstone can't do it.

Very entertaining, engaging, and worth many hours of play. However, it feels...unfinished. It's quite buggy, the problem with becoming allies with the merchants or mercenaries has been mentioned enough already, there's barely any kind of AI other than shoot/charge or occasionally teleport, leveling is a slog on its own...it's a good game with many glaring issues, and it feels like even a little bit more polishing before release could have made it much better than it already is. I'm also not *personally* a fan of the forced leveling in order to use equipment or upgrade skills, but that is my own preference and not something I'll consider a flaw on the game's end.

The *only* problems I have with the game concern your companions. Permanent death would add depth and strategy, making it more important to pay attention to them and work to keep them alive, and that's a good thing. However, the frequent hordes that literally fall from the sky in random places can make for nigh-impossible scenarios for them. I have lost both of the game's companions in this way. Hank was equipped with a rifle; he stood no chance whatsoever when an enormous writhing *ball* of undead just *fell* on him completely at random. I'd second the suggestion that some sort of warning would be very helpful, because as is, these scenarios are quite unfair. It would be one thing if you could, say, take control of them or directly give them healing items, but as far as I can tell, that is not possible and they are rapidly torn to pieces while I attempt futilely to hack my way towards them.

Oh, this is lovely. Would pay for this one if I had to, and that's not something I say often. A broad range of useful skills to play with, wonderfully eerie and tense atmosphere, a well-developed survival aspect to compliment the more typical action/shooter gameplay, and some humor for good measure. I just found instant noodles in my medicine cabinet. Funky Groovingston has interesting ideas concerning food storage.

Did you know that those lines of spikes are not stationary? If you drive slowly (something the game clearly never expects you to actually do), you can see a mysterious force fling them directly in front of you when you come closely enough. It looks hilariously silly, and basically cements the feeling throughout the entire game that everything really just has it in for you; zombies, the army, the civilians, everyone has joined forces, constructing precisely-laid road blocks of abandoned vehicles to impede your progress and valiantly sacrificing themselves if it means slowing you down even in the slightest. It's like this guy pissed off some otherworldly entity and is running from and directly through the consequences.

Love the game. As far as mechanics and entertainment value go, this is an easy 5/5. However, the maniacally suicidal and oddly zombieesque "civilians" completely and entirely ruin any immersion. I tried to avoid them. I really did. After the 50th one or ran directly into my car with that look of pure insanity on their face, I just...gave up. They really, *really* want to die and possibly slow you down while they're at it, and there's not much you can do about it.

I was on board with this until I saw how incredibly tiny my DPS against the first boss was after upgrading nothing but damage until it was one step from maximum. I'm sorry, but that is ridiculous. If the very first boss is that much of a slog, I cannot imagine how long it must take to beat the final one. Talk about an endurance badge. This isn't even mentioning the length and repetition of the standard levels. It's not a terrible game, but it just gets old.

Yeah, searching is poorly implemented and essentially kills the game. The RNG can and will decide that your team of level 3 searchers dies and you get absolutely nothing, leaving morale at 0 and your chances of survival very low through no fault of your own. That you *must* take this risk to make any progress or even acquire better weapons makes the game feel almost entirely based upon luck. I do not see why the search skill does not make a survivor less likely to die or be detected while exploring. It seems that for a team of six with high search skill, disaster is almost certain, which...makes very little sense and makes the player feel punished for attempting to take advantage of said skill. On top of all of this, I believe the loot obtained is largely random even *if* you successfully return from a search. There are too many, better games with this exact premise that don't have an all-powerful and downright vengeful RNG.

Evidently, the level cap is still 20, which is puny. You will probably reach it long before you are finished, especially on the Nightmare setting. I am restarting because the power stat appears to be comparatively useless, and it really is unfortunate that one must learn these things by trial and error with no way of redistributing anything if you find that you've made some bad choices. Not really a great game as shooters go, but it's fun enough to stick with if you can see past its major flaws.

I actually liked this more than the sequel for the first eight missions, but the ninth one rides hard into AI-is-a-cheating-bastard territory. The awkwardness of the morale system isn't so noticeable until then. You can be inches from winning, but your men will surrender for essentially no reason while the Germans seem impervious to any sort of discouragement whatsoever. Destroy all of their tanks you want; they won't care. Lose one of yours, and your men just start crying and throw in the towel right there. I'm fine with that. War is hell. The first world war absolutely devastated everyone involved. But come on, man, it should work both ways, here.

Tanks. Tanks are overpowered. As soon as I got them and maxed the resupply upgrade tree, I never lost a mission again. The hardest mission in the game is the one where you have to fight a single tank without one of your own. Tanks, tanks, tanks.
