Hippos are extremely cheap. If you die while they are attached to you (and it only takes a few to hold down this burly, formidable man for some reason), you will still be paralyzed upon revival. Easily the most annoying and difficult enemies to fight. Regardless, the game is cool. Exceptional work, but it needs polish.

This really ought to have a save function. I'm getting incredibly sick of playing the same level with minor changes over and over and over and over again. Floors 10 - 25 are basically the same? Really? Boredom is a bigger challenge than the difficulty.

Pulls off the age-old, classic run-about-killing-everything-in-sight-and-collecting-dropped-bonuses gameplay quite well. The only issues I've had are the low sell prices and weak upgrades that others have often mentioned, in addition to what seems to be an odd gameplay quirk; frequent deaths due to poor play combined with suboptimal upgrade choices (more money! MORE MONEY I SAID!) appeared to cause the enemies to become ever more powerful while I remained roughly the same. Not nice. Tip: don't do what I did. The treasure drop upgrade is teeny; get better guns and armor, else the tougher enemies will thrash you.

I tried clicking "buy" with nothing selected and started level 4 or so with an inventory full of dark bows. Selling all but one of them gave me enough money to buy whatever I wanted for the rest of the game. Other than this bug, and the fact that $10,000 health pots at the end of the game just encourages hoarding them at low levels, this was a standard but fun top-down shooter. Not a bad way to spend an hour.

Too long for its own good. It's simply too time consuming to retry when you die at 8500 meters because you barely misjudged a single jump. There's not enough here to make me want to play this for that long. Fun while it lasts.

Not a bad game, but suffers from some unfortunate design decisions. Namely, arbitrarily making the player dash about collecting little bits of cash before they suddenly vanish. If, for whatever reason, you feel you must do this, at least make the magnet upgrade do something. I spent thousands of dollars on it at the start due to frustration with the annoying money pellets, and I cannot tell that it has made any difference besides forcing me to grind the first two levels again. Why not just award the money at the end of the level if you're going to make the player kill all the enemies anyway?

Aaand then I got him, and found out that it is apparently...nothing. Wow. Not very nice. The best bullet hell game on this site that I know of, otherwise. Some of the earlier bosses seem horribly difficult at first (looking at you, Hyperion), but if you grind a bit and upgrade the right things, they turn out not to be so tough. Atropos, though...I won't say he needs a nerf, but it would be nice if we were rewarded for intentionally nerfing ourselves against him. Evidently, you have to beat the boss rush as well.

Would someone mind telling me what exactly I'm missing for not bringing the warp core to Atropos? There'd better be a good reason for nerfing yourself against what has to be the hardest bullet hell boss I've yet seen. I'm coming very close to killing him, such that an extra defense laser might do the trick.

An easy-to-play dungeon crawl with some unique features that help it stand out despite its otherwise relatively standard design. However, it becomes very repetitive after around 8 floors IMO due primarily to a severe lack of enemy variation and mind-numbingly simple gameplay. Permadeath does not mix well with these issues because, despite the game's promise that no two dungeons are alike, the limited enemy and item variety ensures that it is in fact quite predictable. I enjoyed my time with the game, but getting its hard badge is a chore because it requires playing for more than twice as long as it takes to get incredibly dull. Spicing up the dungeon a bit would work wonders for replay value. As a note to newcomers, be aware that entangle does not work on the charging golems found on later floors.

The only problem I have with this game and the sequel is that newer weapons are not necessarily better than the ones you found before. I nearly died on the days I tried both variants of shotgun, and one of the automatics in the sequel is a stinker. A shotgun really should be able to kill an old lady zombie in one hit if it's going to require so much reload time.

Bubble Tanks in space. I love it. The piercing explosive sniper cannon even makes an appearance, and I recognize some of the enemy weapons as well e.g. the ball that shoots machine guns in four directions on the Chosen motherships. Cool.

I really like this game. In terms of gameplay and features it's a clear improvement over its predecessor. However, as much as I hate to criticize it over something that usually isn't a big deal to me, it requires more than slightly too much grinding for the hard badge. The cash earning upgrades should be somewhat more substantial, or at least survival mode should be made a bit more profitable. As it is, the best way I've found to earn money is to replay story mode constantly for ~22,000 dollars each time: not really adequate to upgrade my abilities in a timely manner. Other than this one criticism, this is an excellent game.

One of those lightning-fast superpowered old ladies took out two of my allies in one hit, and another took a landmine without slowing down. For some reason they seem much more deadly than any of the other zombies...

Flawed, but fun. Dividing is actively harmful; the game would actually be impossible if the enemy never did so. The player has no real chance of losing as soon as they eat a couple of pellets. Even viruses can be held off indefinitely while waiting for the enemy to split into edible parts. If anything, the last level is easier this way, rather than attempting to dodge every passing virus. Still, it's a nice way to kill twenty minutes, and it's worth a lot of points for its length and difficulty.

Very cool so far but I'm having problems with level 28 because my clones sometimes get different results from the exact same past actions for no apparent reason. In particular, some objects which drop the first time around instead become stuck in the moving platform on the second. Otherwise, highly entertaining and original.
