You're right, I'm glad to read a comment from a long time fan! The answer is: I'm going to do a retcon or two with the "big" game for Steam. I felt like the flower's collar wasn't good enough, so I'll change it with something else.. But make no mistake, One-Eye is not retarded at all!
Lots of things holding this game back. For me it's primarily a lack of tutorial (e.g. you get the battle tutorial AFTER having done it?!) and options to go back to the title without refreshing.
Nice game. I think some form of grid (maybe an option to turn one on) would make it better though. Making wrong estimates on how the positions of the blox relate to each other doesn't make the game harder in any worthwhile way, in my opinion.
The instructions aren't clear at all. I can move the blocks, I need to reach the light? I just did. It didn't do anything. The black thing doesn't move and doesn't seem to fulfill any purpose either.
Hey! That's not just four levels! Apart from that I really liked it (nice music, cute design). Could you make pressing space after losing do the same thing as pressing the green flag? If another key is easier that's fine too.
Can you make Enter function as clicking Done? It's pretty much a reflex to press it after typing something quickly if you're used to typing games, having it delete everything is a real bummer.
I love this idea so much... Really only thing holding it back from being 5/5 is that you have to completely restart the level if you accidentally push a box just too much, misjudge how you need to place the light to hide the spikes and/or have enough room to fall through a hole and/or push a box, etc... That's the wrong kind of added difficulty in games like this.
Beat the game, then played again to experience what happened in several instances of not going straight. Impressed with your creativity, and save point was a nice touch! Very funny! 5/5
The thing that stalled me to the point of having to look it up with the lockpick-puzzle was that I noticed every colour lock had a different pair of holes that was double, and that seemed too specific not to be important, and yeah, there's lots of possible solutions like that. And once you've gone that route you're more likely to notice things that have nothing to do with the solution. So that's an idea for a red herring to remove for the remake.
