Hm. Didn't enjoy the game but the negative dev replies seem even worse. Maybe it's intended to be humorous, or is it just because of getting sick of many negative comments? Well, anyway, I guess I'd best stick with just a bit of constructive criticism. I don't think the music fits the game at all.
Hi Waddle, I can appreciate that. My negative responses are simply me having fun with zero effort ignorant comments by internet troll warriors who are not only insulting me, but the big community that makes this game; it's not bothering me to the point that I'm attacking back out of defensiveness, but I'm not PC enough to give cringey templated 'I'm so sorry to hear that' responses ;) In any case, I think everyone including myself can agree the music has dated among other things. We have a major Unity client rewrite in the works with new audio tracks and sfx coming, hopefully to improve that side of things. It has never been made a priority enough since the game is idle and most people mute right away. Anyways, thanks for giving it a chance. -Ray
Finally got to play this, pretty fun! I like to just stack every cat on top of the previous, however... in case of people wanting to try a more tactical approach, it would make sense to display the next cat too.
Makes sense that it's called Beam Ball, because I'm both beaming and having a ball. Yes, you don't see wholesome puns that often. This game is great and deserves it though. 5/5
Interesting end. Some really frustrating levels in between, but it's 'good difficulty'-hard. To be honest, I don't really know why I was able to solve Quadrants. And I honestly can't wait till there's walkthroughs on the deaths I'm missing. By the way, I don't know if this is intended, but the Title screen that happens after the end doesn't go away except for with Esc either.
Ok, concept is fine. The animation seems a bit too intense as it lags somewhat, and I'd like to know what happens if you let the pointer pass by without clicking (does it wake her up or doesn't it count?). Oh, and most importantly, what this missing is a score. Or is the goal winning by keeping it up long enough? It's not clear.
By the way, I really like the "solve a really hard puzzle to get killed" mechanic. Still confused on which deaths there are to achieve on some levels, but I'll keep trying!
Great game! Simple but a definite 5/5, enjoy the humor & the concept, I hope your game gets well known :) Only one request: can you make the hallucination sequence more easily skippable for later playthroughs of a level? For example by counting holding down the mouse button as clicking a lot, or adding a 'skip' button.
Ok 3 things in order of importance: 1. Instructions should be available in-game, not just in the Kong-description. 2. I really like the sound-effects! 3. If they're gonna be the only keys you use, it would be nice to have the arrow keys work too.
This game's rated lower than 4 stars? Would not expect that. Seems it's a recent thing what with all the negative comments, hm... Strange. It was a masterpiece back in the day and it's just as playable today.
Hey! Already gave the game 5/5 when it came out, love the updates! If you don't mind, how do I feed my familiar? I also can't figure out how to build a snowman, but I realise that answer might come too late if it's just a Christmas thing.
Select the familiars in your inventory or equipment window, and you'll get a feed option. Snowmen are created with ice berries (select them and hit transform), the farmer gives you a hint about this during the holidays.
To the people talking about (beating) all 84 levels... Do you mean 83? 84 for me is a seemingly unsolvable "SOON", and beating 84 levels would mean that that one was solved too. So is that possible, or is it just 83? Just trying to figure out what's going on here!
