I love the idea that you get rewarded for each find with a little story progression via speech bubble, but overall the differences are more pointless and frustrating in tis one than they were in "Robin Hood".
Such incredibly slow and cumbersome gameplay. Sorry, no cake.
Towers seem to be much more powerful than soldiers, so you build towers everywhere to hold your position, then try to demolish one every once ina while to replace it with a barrack...which is immediately destroyed and you have to build more towers to get it back. Unfortunately, barracks are the only way to get ahead in the game.
Soldiers can't pass through barracks, so as soon as I get some territory my other barracks start ZZZing uselessly..."brilliant"!
Did I mention that tiles change color sometimes too? More two steps forward, one step back on the borders.
In most games, the player who has the advantage in terms of resources and position usually wins - for example, by producing stronger units. In this game, I'm sitting ildly on the enemy's borders, my mines pumping out a gazillion gold in the background, waiting for one soldier to finally make it through the towers to the castle.
Very bad game, sorry.
Does this game have any kind of community or has everyone already fled in fear of lack of support? Some of the Kong games I play have had those problems too but you can generally find an enduring community...here I see no fresh forum threads, no in game chitchat, nothing, if some quiet player did not sometimes show up in the same dungeon I'd assume it is a wasteland.
Another pet peeve: how come you can not see the stats (health) of your party members on your customize screen? How am I supposed to even tell if there is any difference between two monsters?
"Thanks for spending hours grinding for building parts! As a reward, let me unlock for you yet another bargain Cred sale you'll never use & already saw the firs dozen times!"
It turns out my Save isnt even tied to my Kong account. Why'd I spend money on a cache exactly?...
Nice game, but too CPU intensive (idk if people realize that this is a serious consideration, priority is flash game < ruining your computer) and tries to mug you for uncut dice way too often. :( (p2p Minesweeper coming soon)
Love the game! I have to agree with the critiques though. :) I'm not even sure how to even make sense of the Powers: GOLD RUSH - 2x gold, duration 60 secs, cooldown 30 min(!!!)? Yeah, def. will buy this instead of the Banker upgrade! :p
(Now if say, this was an offline game and you could activate a bonus that lasts for an hoour or something...maybe that would make sense?)
Minor issue: full viewed cards are partially covered by the cards in your hand when it should be the other way around. eg. if you try to check how much health an ally in play has left, sometimes you can't, because the coin in your hand ("pocket") covers exactly that part.
Finished, nice game! Facing the wizard on lvl 80 already felt a bit too early - I'd have loved to go for at least another 20 levels (maybe some bonus levels to face the demon it was building on the 100th) and max out the rest of my abilities. Still nicely done.
Can we get a way to play in full screen mode? You can only play this on Kong as far as I can tell, and the resolution/window size for this game seems non adjustable, so on my smaller laptop screen most of the game screen gets cut off. Fullscreen mode could at least help with that.
Very fun game! Some things I would love to see: 1. ability to craft clothes with Leather, Fibre and Wool. (Leather+Fibre Raincoat to give more rain protection, Wool winter coat for winter.) 2. it'd be nice if the first hammer click would break the ice and allow for drinking/fishing in winter, but I realize that may reduce the difficulty level. Perhaps there could be a cold-o-meter in the sequel and a campfire (Wood)/fireplace (Wood/Stone) that has to be stocked with wood daily, making winter survival depend more on wood, and fishing/hunting both viable methods for getting emergency food.
After you figure out the trick of conquering planets in the first 10 seconds while you're protected (so that enemies bounce off your impenetrable shield) the game becomes a bit too easy. Otherwise, lovely, and the various races and the graphics keep your imagination fueled too. I'd love for someone to make a tabletop game out of this.
Why is the AI so idioting? All of the allies run around like headless chickens, taking damage from arrows and melee attacks the whole time before they finally decide to attack the enemy, and you can be sure they'll pick the next target on the other side of the screen, instead of the ones that are right in front of them.
There's endless fun to be had in multiplayer ... and an upcoming expansion with campaign co-op and a bunch more modules =)
