My evaluation:
Music - 1 (wtf is this sound?)
Gameplay - 4 (smooth and easy to learn)
Innovation - 1.5 (there are really not many changes over FR3 and some of the new ones are just annoying)
Fun - 3.5 (regardless of everything, FR is still a pretty fun game)
Compared to the rest of the series: sorry, but FR3 is better. This should have been an improvement, but failed - worse music, more annoying obstacles. The only real good idea was the XP system.
Can you add a button to change the music? I know there are only 2 of them, but I LOVE the first and hate the 2nd. I am unable to stick wth just the one I like, even Resume switches them up.
My only complaint that by the time you get to the 30st wave or so the camera starts lagging behind, showing some other part of the arena and not your character. Also, a bit of a letdown that only the same mpbs keep getting repeated after the 40th wave or so (dinosaur - Apollo - chump mob rush). Otherwise, excellent, good looking and fun game.
I wish more effort would have been put into this game because the concept is very alluring. However, there is no long term goal and there are only half dozen events during travels - the game quickly becomes boring in thsi half-finished state.
I feel resentful that my perfect record for the first 5 levels (no lives lost/no food consumed/no barrels missed) got ruined because the game suddenly decided to lag like f+ck. It seems to be impossible to run it without lag now on my end (tried 5 browsers) and suddenly you die on every corner, making the game near-unplayable.
The Neko shop battle was left with too big a frequency - not only does fighting it on every 3rd replay make you weird about deactivating the boss in the first place, but his promises about not letting the bug happen again become increasingly ridiculous...
I don't really know why this game is getting so high reviews in comments...It is OK, but still mediocre in the CCG scene. There aren't enough cards per element to create much variety, there seem to be some balance issues (is there any counter against repeated Phase Shields at all?), and high cost/low avaliability confines you to your starting deck.
Kids can have some fun with it for a while, for everyone else there are real collectible card games out there.
Thsi could've been a great game if the developer finished it. I gave it a go 3x times now but some annoying bug always stopped me from progressing - first my quests got halted because I already completed the next one before it came up, then after the tutorial battle! (which you seem to always lose - shouldn't it let you add more units if you want so that you don't?) it informed me that my town didn't have enough food so all activity was halted - since that means that you do not produce anything anymore, the game comes to a dead end. And I did not even do anything yet but follow the tutorial.
Tried to give it a chance, really liked the concept too, wanted to look past the issues and play it through (it's not like I didn't do it before) but unfortunately you sunk your own game before people could like it.
Another tip: change the ninjas' lifelines to a different color from the enemy. When you have a limited number of healing spells, trying to monitor whether your allies' health is high or low among 4-5 other red lines is vexing.
I fell through a gap and glitched underground on level 4, but falling forward pressing the forward button patiently for half a minute my dino reappeared at the top of the screen, eventually landing on the ground so I was able to complete the level. I suggest trying the same for anyone who encounters this problem.
Multiplayer: not sure if it would be a good idea. WHat I would like to see is the game as a - don't laugh - board game. There'd be more time to consider each move and stay fair. Also some of the species doesn't really fit multiplayer: the Findra, for example. When they are down to their last planet, the smart opponent will let his own units grow for minutes and minutes before taking their last planet and facing a counter strike - which would be very boring in multiplayer mode.
