Protip: rapidly conquer as many planets as possible (especially the ones near you), during the first 10 seconds of the 15-second protection at the beginning. Not only will this give you an advantage in terms of the units you start with, but the rival ships the opponent will send to beat you to the planet will bounce off its shield and get wasted. On most levels, this makes the rest of the game ridiculously easy (perhaps a bit too easy...did the developer fully account for this strategy? personally I did not need the protection at the beginning at all before I realized this.)
I enjoyed the update :) At the end of the day, this is still a rather fun game. I just wish there was more variety, I could certainly do with more challenges like the Sheepacabra appearing the longer you run - the same run gets boring after a while! :)
-The health upgrade is so useless-couldn't you make it so that you still need to buy the health upgrade, but you get as many as your upgraded level?
-While riding the bull, you should automatically pick up collectibles in your path (temp magnet). The ride doesn't really help that much-any skilled player can jump over a few obstacles, so the bull doesnt help all that much-but it makes you miss all the collectibles on the way, and thus the bull ride is better avoided. There's even a slight risk that you'll lose health because of where it drops you, perhaps that should be made a bit safer too.)
I don't mind a system where you must purchase a booster at the beginning of the level every time. Many similar games give generalupgrades, resulting in the game becoming easier. I'm fine with it if players can set it for themselves if they want a handicap/help on their next play. But once you decide that you do want to use a "cheat", that should be felt and should increase as you upgrade it.
Too few levels, I won at the 3rd relatively fast (in fact, I didn't even use the power ups and fuel a single time for it) and then the remaining 3/4 of the game to unlock everything was endless repetition that quickly became boring.
I could not win a single raid yet because on victory the game freezes (enemy hero disappears and then nothing happens).I know others have been having this issue, please fix it because it is impossible for me to do raids in the time being.
So, nice try but if you waned a truly good game please fix the flash slowness or add an "Add full/Remove all" button. When yo'e managing hundreds of people, 1 click/1 person is very frustrating.
Once you realize that keeping up a military is completely meaningless, winning the gae is a walk in the park (I did it on the 80th turn on my 2nd try).
The tutorial is very poor. I figured out so much (on my own!) that you need the highest possible popuatio (because techs usually raise the number of people you can assign to a task, not their individual effectiveness) and that for population to increase faster you need to assign more people to food collection (?) The tutorial does not tell you!
Victor II - Your achiement of flipping a switch shall never be forgotten.
Victor IV - He cleared the Northern path of wolves, so that our clan may travel beyond.
Victors V-IX - Your sacrifices in your effort to clear the arrow trap path is an example to us all.
Victor X - He who thriumped where many have fallen before (then stepped in a spike trap).
Victor XV - Died in bed, at old age, in the arms of his beloved son (I was on a coffee break...)
Frustrating and uninteresting. You've created this truly interesting setting, and then fall flat on the gameplay as you you fall back to key-hunting where you gotta guess which tiny pixel the developer thought he'd like you to click; no logic or thinking needed for the puzzles at all. Seriously, is there anyone who enjoys key hunting?
Awesome game (playing it for the 5th or 6th time in a year). One small qualm: the inventory grid is not always very visible on laptops. Perhaps the black-on-grey could be swapped for a more visible color?
Admittedly I am not a fan of the stars behind your back on every level. On pretty much every stage I start with rolling back to pick them, then press R to restart immediately. It was cool while it was a single (or two) ice cream's hiding place in CM2, but on every second level? it's pointless.
That's a really small critique though, other than that a really fun game.
Thanks for the comment!
