Okay, now this is a badge of the day that I actually ALREADY HAD, and it's still not awarding it to me. As a matter of fact, it now shows me with NEITHER of the badges. Which I took the time to get because, this game is in fact amazing ^_^
Sucks that I can't get this badge. And I hate to flood this poor game's feed with dumb comments like this, since they're really not relevant to the game, just Kong. But I mean, I pride myself in working through tough times and getting those shiny kongpanions (and at the very least, the regular ones). I've already been cheated out of 2 this week and don't want to lose a third for reasons beyond my control
Oh my god the steam game looks amazing! I can't believe I didn't see the notification until now, I'm going to buy it immediately! I love that you have such dedication to this game, and decided to make something more of it :D
Also, stop complaining about games made with unity. In what world do you people imagine that Kongregate would start discriminating against gamemakers just because of the softwares they use? I mean, sure it's inconvenient, but just think about it. And then take into consideration that they never put more than 2 unity games in one week, to allow everyone to get the shiny if they try hard enough, no matter what. Try and look at if from their perspective. (also, don't tell people not to use unity. I've used both unity and flash, and whilst I use flash (to avoid firefox hate), let me tell you. AS3 is archaic my friends. Not fun to code with. Not fun at all).
My only recommendation is to not have the pause-when-you-click-away style pausing with a puzzle game of this nature. There's nothing active happening to even need the pause. And even if there's a timer, well, there shouldn't be. Timers make puzzle games horrendously worse almost 100% of the time, especially one like this which doesn't have simple user-friendly controls.
Zydorso, it's not the game, it's either your computer or more likely: your browser. You can do two things. The first is to clear your browser's data; this will erase its memory of all flash games, which will make games such as this run significantly faster. And if you're unwilling to do that (like I was), just temporarily switch to a different browser. I switched to firefox from chrome to get this badge, and it works just fine. I bet you're being completely accurate in your description from your end, just try out these tips to see if they help, because if my piece of crap laptop can run it, so can whatever you're using. Hope this helps!
The enter name bit doesn't work properly. It doesn't allow for numbers (but that may be a design choice), and several letters, which is just wrong. X I can sort of get, but W? That's a letter legitimately in my actual name, and should be represented. Lowering my rating from 5 to 4 stars because of this thoughtless oversight. No joke. I have it on 5 stars right now, and am about to lower it. Because no 5-star developer is that careless.
