I had to play this game three times before it let me pass the last level. That's just unnacceptable, and I'm amazed kongregate would allow a game like this to even be badged, much less a daily game. I'd rate it 0/5 if I could, make sure your games work before you release them
In the level "Our House" there's a typo on the very first sign. It should be "keep off the grass" but it says "keep of the grass". I know it's a very minor criticism, but that's just because it's the only thing I can find wrong with this game ^_^ keep up the great work
I take my earlier comment back, the pieces are obvious which is which. The explosions just confused me for a while, I understand completely now. This game NEEDS badges. It is an amazing puzzle game, that requires you to look into how each piece works and moves, and plan for everything on the screen. The harder levels, where each move counts, are simply superb. 5/5
The organization of the pieces is a noble effort, but a failed one. Colors would ruin the effect, so... maybe adding a key would be enough? It's just that sometimes a pieces intro level isn't clear enough to make the idea stick :P
Also, we know that this game was made for newgrounds. You probably like newgrounds a lot. I respect newgrounds. But could you really not be bothered to change the description of the game to NOT say "here on newgrounds"? It's basically dissing every single person on this site, and is the sole reason I will not be buying your game and supporting you. As far as I'm concerned, Kongregate is more of a gaming community that Newgrounds, which dabbles in plenty of other things. Gaming isn't even its top priority, even though it's what it's most known for. I don't wanna keep going off on a rant against Newgrounds, just... don't be so blatantly rude to us. Not a great first introduction to your players.
A really cool concept, the first couple levels were just so slow that they were hard to even play through. To make a puzzle game really great, you need to give the player freedom to actually solve those puzzles, without punishing them so hard for failure (the punishment is having to redo everything so slowly, which I know wasn't meant as a punishment, but still).
This game is so ingenious and creative! And I love the little attention to detail with how your character is always the color of the layer you're currently in. Amazing game!
You all realize you can get out of the trap by killing yourself with spikes, right? The game only intentionally traps you one time, and it gives you a very accessible way of killing yourself. You can complete every level without having to restart, the devs were very careful when doing this. A suicide button may have been a nice addition I guess, but in no way would have been necessary. I doubt I even would have used it once.
Okay guys, here's how you get the hard badge. First, you want to try and get enough money on day 1 to buy the level 2 goggles. Then on day 2 you should have enough for level 1 shirt, and level 2 shoes. On day 3 make sure you get enough money to max out all 3. Don't worry about the hat. With all that style added together, you'll blast straight to mars.
