this is one of the best pay to play games out there... but of course, I'm not actually going to pay anything... I would rather just give $5 to own the game and lose all the timers and crap... maybe even $10... but at the $10 price point, I wouldn't be able to convince enough RL friends to play it... too bad... I wish these developers would just throw their games into the Indie section of Steam or something and leave Kongregate to the ad supported games we've all grown to love.
the token pay system in this game is stupid expensive...if you could equate 1 token to 1 penny, it would still not be worth it... this isn't even a nickle and dime game... to really invest in it takes more money than I would pay for professionally developed games on Steam or from Amazon!
Lame... my randomly generated world only has 1 castle and 2 dungeons... also, there is only 1 path through level 2 of the dungeon that has 3 of my 4 quests and it's blocked by a legendary spider. I've killed everything in the only 3 levels of the only other dungeon so now I'm stuck because there's no way I can take out that legendary spider.
removed a card from my starter deck to view it in the browser (since you can't examine the card's icons directly in the card builder) and now it's just gone... buggy buggy bug bug... the game seems pretty cool otherwise, except for the fact that it is pretty much the same over and over... 1. get as much gold as you can, one iron mine and one crystal mine (more iron/crystals are just a waste since you rarely use them), 2. queue up some guys and save gold. 3. spam all your guy buttons as fast as you can, 4. return to step 2 until you win .... and if you don't get two or three gold mines at least right out of the gate, you might as well restart.
I think there's a really good reason this type of game isn't popular... I mean, kudos for making the first SPS that I've ever played... but someone above hit the nail on the head... you might as well have replaced the whole screen with just a radar... to beat levels, just make sure you put the closest red dot on the radar at due N and hold the trigger down... adjust left and right in small increments until the red dot goes away... YAY!
got all upgrades pretty quickly... which made me lose interest at level 18 or so... at that point, either my uber upgrades are going to allow me to easily beat the rest of the levels, or they will continually get harder without any hope that I can improve my equipment and keep pace... no more fun at that point.
I really like the game except I think it needs WAY more weapons options... I used the same Steel mace for the first 20 levels... then I upgraded to one with spikes and it looks like another 20 will go buy before I care to upgrade again.
I assume it was a bug, but I'm killing zombie after zombie and waiting on the cop car keys but the zombies had stopped dropping ingredients, so I ended up running completely out of ammo and died.
big bug encountered... I had all the trophies except "buy all 4 shops" because I had skipped the third to buy the 4th... I finally decided to grab the last trophy so I bough the 3rd shop and i had like $16k so I just decked the whole thing out immediately with a DJ lik 18 fully upgraded CD racks and 6 listening stations... I didn't know the area so I bought 1/5th capacity of each (around 85 or 90 each I think)... buying the last shop didn't give me the trophy and now I only ever get 1 customer who comes in and never buys anything citing $ as the reason... so I dropped it to free, and I still can't get the guy to buy... what crap...
very fun... sweeping destruction is great... The graphic design and perspective are great! Here's what I'd like to see... 1. allow for hotkey switching between weapons and to set off TNT. 2. expand the levels. 3. maybe offer more weapons, upgrades, coin system, etc. something to both enhance the game play and give the player something to shoot for. 4. pay attention to your story line. Hydrous aliens attacking a planet sounds cool, but the main character looks like he's one of them... also, a story could help make adding more levels easier and incorporate the upgrade system I mentioned... 5. I liked the difficulty just as it was... yes, it was pretty easy, but it was reminiscent of Serious Sam style wanton mass destruction... I loved it! Good Job!
something happens with the balance around lvl 47ish... it goes from manageable to suddenly so difficult you lose like 15 lives in one round... then there's a "Cash Cow Bob" boss which is really easy, and after that you get hit with a death wave.
