If I had never played Scorched Earth, this would be interesting. Alas, I have played Scorched Earth, many many years before this.

Is there a reason why in single player mode it doesn't automatically end when all the opponents are dead? Am I supposed to kill something else?

For all that it is a seriously outdated game by today's standards, Scorched Earth will always stand in my mind as the mark to which all other tank-based artillery games should strive to meet.

This is okay, but needs to be able to blow up the mountain in single players, and have more places to move, diff weapons etc.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I would give it 5 stars if you could use another weapon to shoot... kinda like in "tanks." Also if the hills and stuff got damaged.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It's a little boring really. You just choose an angle, power and shoot stuff. No other weapons, no terrain destruction... it's just too simple.
3 stars.

Nonono greg, to the contrary: I have no idea why it's one of the top-rated games of all time on Newgrounds.
Games worse than the original ones should never be rated high, seriously.

Great game. 5/5 until this gets too at least 4 stars.
Greg, I'm with your opinion.
Great job GameBrew (unless that's a company. Then good job author)

It's a great start of a game, but it really needs mutability of terrain in order to maintain interest. Powerups would help, too.

It is a great game, but I've played games like it before, and it didn't really do anything new. I would've rated higher if the maker had made destroyable mountains, upgrades/purchaseable weapons, stuff like that. a more interesting single player mode, maybe including some kind of story...all ways it could have been better.

This game is great. It's one of the top-rated games of all time on Newgrounds, and I have no idea why it only has 3 stars here. I'll never understand you people!

This is one fun game. I don't see anything wrong with this game, except for players joining and leaving games immediately.

pretty awesome game, I remember playing a game called scorched earth like this, but yo could buy different weapons, maybe in version 2?

Hey Gamebrew, nice job on this. I had the www.gamebrew.com score for a while, of 117. It got beaten though, sadly. But please change the arrow keys back! Im so used to them being the original settings, that its too confusing now! 5 out of 5 stars.

Fun game. more Effects would be nice... a few more weapons... a bit more time... perhaps a shield, one per game.. quicker regain of health.. more players IE 4v4, and fill up with computer bots...

I fixed the keyboard keys to what they should be. I also added pressing ENTER will bring you into the chat area. There will be more people to play in a few days. Thanks for your comments!

I would love to say that it was a brilliant game but it didnt work!!! As soon as it loaded the screen turned black an nothing else happened.

It's alright. Multiplayer makes this game stick out over every other tanks clone, but it's rather comparable with the other "innovative" imitations.
