Truly obnoxious how short the time for rebuilding is especially since the pieces are random and it ends the game to not have completely enclosed your area. Too much scrolling is required while in firing mode. Having the different size cannon not be linked makes it nearly pointless to diversify (takes too long to switch between them). There's potential here, but it's not real playable as is. Disappointing after the genius that is Talesworth Adventure.

Quite a disappointment, you are not only forced to use the blocks the game gives you, but you can not delete Cannons at the same time, I have failed many times because of this flaw.
Another thing: The game really doesn't have much reason to play, there is no story beyond a scroll on the first page. I can see why several people hate this game.

A preview of which level is which from the map screen would be nice, as would mouse scrolling. Me realising you could use WASD for scrolling instead of the arrow keys was useful too :P

I like this game but a few things keep it from being better.
a) the screen area is too small
b) the impromptu tetris mechanic is annoying
c) it's too easy to exploit the pause mechanic

The one player game was pretty easy for a die hard Ramparts fan like me. The levels go a bit samey... they could do with being much larger with more towers on them, I often had loads of time to waste after I'd finished repairing my castle. Still, this is a great implementation. Hopefully I'll get the chance to give multiplayer a go. Any takers?

this game is actually very terrible.... well for single player it is.... every time i hve a castle fortified it says i haven't and i spend the whole time looking for the tiny gap or corner or something stupid like that.... 2/5 so far

Cool, Ramparts! It's taking me a while to get used to all the keys (I wish you could rotate with the mouse wheel!) but I can see myself playing this through to the end.

Not bad but there are a few glitches. I've had times when my central castle, surrounded by other, secure sections of castle, wasn't considered to be surrounded for some reason. Then i just put a single block anywhere in that area and it's secure for some reason...

I like this game, a few new features to the classic Rampart, could have used a bit more of an upgrade, maybe a castle vs castle or something 4/5

Honestly, I think the developers should at least point out to "rampart" and not just put their own names in the credits under design. Common courtesy.

You might want to add a pause menu. As it stands, Pause can be used to create your castle without time going down, as well as aimming perfect shots at enemies.

Controls/maps are certainly 'clunky'. I liked Rampart and would like to see a multi-player remake that is better designed.

Interesting remake of the old Rampart game. The fact that the board doesn't fit on the screen, and that you have to select which cannons to fire makes the game more difficult than the original. 3/5

I was a big fan of Talesworth Arena and wanted to like this game more, but the interface felt clunky and I was never a big fan of Rampart anyway. Still, not a bad game, just not as impressive as your earlier work. 3/5
