Tip for first two days on the hard setting: Nail Gunners are your friends! Only use Nail Gunners on these two levels. To start, space your men evenly across the play field, making sure their field of fire covers as much as possible. There WILL be some overlapping of fire, but this is good, the aliens are hard to kill and will take several shots each to take down. As you get the money to place more troops, place them as you see fit. I ended up with a Nail Gunner every two spaces in the front row, with 'backup' Nail Gunners behind every second or third one by the final wave. This is a guaranteed tactic for winning the first two days on any setting, I haven't lost using it yet. Good Luck.

Commander "Fire at will!" Gun troop "Commander it's eating my leg do I shoot it?" Commander "No only shoot what's in front of you!" Gun troop "Ok."

Alien Leader: "lets go all head on against the front of the base!" Runner: "why dont we attack from behind, where theres no defenses?" Alien Leader: "because we don't want to cheat yknow?"

Who knew that flares, gasoline, and metal nails that are launched from gun-like devices are effective against bloodthirsty aliens?

sorry this is kind of unrelated, but did anyone notice the period at the end of the description of the second hard badge is a link? :/

These engineers trapped here are more like the marines, or sharpshooters lol. They never miss, might as well be pro snipers.

throwing together space craft parts to create weapons in order to destroy flesh hungry alien bugs and infected allies... just another day as an engineer

so men, we're on an alien planet and we will attack the aliens scouts and we don't know if they are hostile but we'll shoot at them. we'll build guns out of resources we get from the aliens bodies. also remember that the protecting the ship is our number one priority so if one gets past you DO NOT TURN AROUND AND SHOOT AT IT. also remember that there is safety in numbers so if one comes at you and you can kill it and it will definately kill you, do not dodge it

finally 15 gold stars.
Level3 was difficult till i got 5 FT, then just add flares. No nailgunners
Level5 - first all invest in flares, then on wave with infected and hunters (wave11) add 3 FT to cover the line and a couple of implouders. Then extend to 5 FT, 4 implouders and then add beamcutters.
At final wave i had about 20 flares, 7 FT, 7 implouders, 5 beamcutters - no casualties.

When this thing gets a sequel I will be the happiest human being alive. The layout of the battlefield is so incredibly refreshing, it won me over instantly. Plus the keyboard can be handled pretty effectively with one hand, which just makes me even happier.

the game is really cool, but how about upgrading units depending on their kills?
the could get better by themselfs without paying for an upgrade, maybe better range, faster fire rate, damage... just a slight increase

hey guys, when playing this game, you gotta relax, retry the hard lvs many times and try different strategy and just keep pushing!

Final Wave: I set up a line of imploders and flamethrowers, with groups of flaregun-fuel-beam groups at the back. Then I just spammed beam surge, sentinel, and repulsor as much as possible (and this is what they call "easy")

Just how do you get stranded on a desert moon anyway? Did you purposely drive into the planet, or was there something wrong wth the engines? Commanding officer: (Whoever that is,) "Number one." You "But why? Are you trying to kill us?" Commanding officer: "Damn right."

Engineer "think we should bring a few of the ship guns online?" Commander "Why? We have state-of-the-art weapons right here." Engineer "It's just an industrial nail gun." Commander "We're doing fine, the answer is no." [10min later] Commander "Ah, crap... lost everyone again... Alright, open the cryo pods and lets try this again."

A very nice Game, but sadly it has the worst and most annoying Outro ever... you wait for the rocket to finally get out of screen to see what happens afterwards, and what happens? you get back to main menu T_T

A tip for Day 3 3Star on Hard... Start with 3 Flame Throwers all the way in front, space evenly. Place Nail Guns directly behind and 3 spaces back. Fill that row with Nailers as you can. Next make a row of Nailers 1 space back from your Flame Thrower line. Finish by filling in the middle row. Use Support on Last Wave only. Easy 3 Stars on Hard.;)

Really appreciate all the comments! Some of of them are hilarious :D, and some have really useful suggestions. I do read them all even if I can't respond to everyone. Still waiting on Kong for badges. Definitely pumped to make the sequel even more epic. Thanks Everyone!

You could barely see out of the escape suits" even though we can shoot dead center every time "but we're not soldiers

Hmmm, Maybe long term upgrades? And maybe some more variety on troopers/defenses would be nice, like some sheet metal shoved in the ground would be a barrier that most bugs would have to go around, but certan ones can go over/under it? a sequel would be great. but this is an excellent game hands down, 4.5/5
