easy 5 point badge, very hard 30 point badge. I'm gonna be happy with my five points and leave that hard badge to the big boys

Developer, mouse control would be a good idea for those (including myself) who have difficulties using keyboards, pressing "this way" when I am actually seeing for it to go "that way" is a pain and a half on a keyboard,- perhaps a thoughtful consideration? Thank you for your time!! -Marz

I hate those kind of game mixing skills with luck... You either get lucky and catch the right power ups at the right moment.... Or keep trying until you get the lucky strike... Poor

There are a lot of things I like about it. Power-ups are fun and creative, the music is great, and the shifts in music are a clever way to signal you about what power-ups are active.
That said, luck does play too large a role in the game. When you're a third of the screen's width, there is literally nothing to do but cross your fingers. Part of what makes games fun is their direct correlation between effort and reward. A game where you can't affect the outcome isn't fun. It's frustrating. There's no reason to invest time in something that can randomly screw you over at any moment.
Tetris involves some luck. But you can still take that luck and influence the outcome. Poker's the same way. You can't control the cards you're dealt, but you CAN make decisions about your hand. Luck is involved, but you can still take action.
That's part of what makes a game fun. The odds can be bad, but they should never insurmountable, and when you put in time and effort, that should be rewarded.

Adding onto my other comment, if you're going to add a delay between when the mines actually start disappearing during the bubbles only, make it so there's a delay in when they return. I still got a mine even when my power-up was nearly over. Also, for the shooter, when the power-up is gone, I think that the shots shouldn't just disappear instantly but should continue until they hit something/fly off the screen. Lastly, it may be better to (slightly) change the length of the power-ups (good/bad) while in bullet-time because it doesn't seem worth it sometimes to have to wait for the bubbles to slowly come while you're wasting a power-up. It might be better to have it only work in ultimate since it'll give more incentive to pick it up.

It really bothers me when I can play a game 100 times or 200 times and the skill I gain from it has NO bearing on my ability to play it. I have learned what powerups are good and which are harmful, I have a strategy for what part of the screen I sit on as the game progresses. but it all means absolutely nothing. In the end, my score has NOTHING to do with the buttons I press on my keyboard.

Huge luck factor here. Some keys to a nice score: get the star-trek looking gun thingy early, and rack up kills. Avoid regular bubbles at the start (Easier to manuever when small). Bullet time = good. Speed = bad. Invincible = good (duh). Bouncy = bad for manuevering. When you have a decent score built up from the gun, try to get as fat as possible and hold out as long as possible. Unfortunately, there is a HUGE luck factor involved, which makes the hard badge an exercise in frustration.

Definitely all down to luck for this game. After 1000 if you don't hit all bubbles for invincibility you lose instantly.

ok from having left this in the background after dying I can see two major issues. Wraparound should be standard. Would save much aggravation. 2: You should start out with many mines and have LESS appear as you go. It appears the game begins to throw minewalls at you after a couple minutes or so. Plain stupid and unfair. You want to make a game where a skilled player can last forever, not one that forcibly kills you if you cannot snag a powerup. Powerups are supposed to ENHANCE, not be a necessity. The major problem with the game is that it has basically been designed backwards. You need to turn the engine on its head. I don't even want to imagine how long it took tic9876 to break 5,000 but he deserves it because that shows enough luck to clean out casinos legally. There should be a gradual increase in the scores, not 5 toppers with the rest stuck at 1700-2700. Fact there isn't shows there's a serious flaw somewhere. (The luck portion) It is just no fun to play if skill is meaningless.

I don't think the lag is their fault. After all, the changes to Flash over the past 12 years have made Flash laggier.

Score 1938 points. Fitting goal, since 1938 was during the Great Depression, and this is truly a depressing badge to get.

so 1 in 10 games you get past 1000, 1 in 100 games past 1500 and 1 in 1000 games you get past 2000. I mean hard badges are meant to not be give aways, but this is just a terrible idea. the creator should have kept your bubble small and increased the amount of mines at this pace. At least then it would be based on how good someone's reflexes are.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
seeing as "some luck involved" is incorrect (it actually requires nothing but luck—you could literally get 2000+ in 1 minute without even pressing arrow keys, but there are times where its impossible to continue because your bubble is actually surrounded by nothing but mines, and your bubble is too big to escape the "wall of mines" so you have no choice but to lose) I feel every bit of right to whine.
0/5 stars rating--I like to do badges of the day, but when its like this...I gladly quit playing

2101!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!!!!!!wheres my achievement???*reads* "dont forget to submit score" ...FFFFFUUUUU

This would be a fun game if the developers ensured pathing, but as mentioned by everyone else, they do not and it really ruins what could be an enjoyable experience. What's worse is the hard badge that acknowledges RNG is required...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
why is there a hard badge if it isnt even skill based but luck based
therefore it isnt hard to get, you just need luck... not cool man
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It's way too frustrating to try to earn enough points for that second badge, it's a game of chance and it's just not fun enough to want to continue being frustrated.

Yupyup. Little bit of luck. I would rather use that little bit of luck to win the lottery. I figure it takes about the same amount.
Also, It's not a power-UP when it makes your game harder >.<

How is it possible to dodge later on.... Your freaking bubble is sooo big that you can't even slide in between the mines...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Foolproof method to get hard badge: Avoid all bubbles and powerups except minesweeper and invincible. Destroy the mines by ramming into them if you have invincible, or shooting them if you have minesweeper. By avoiding bubbles, you prevent your size from increasing so you can just evade and wait for good powerups. At the same time, destroying mines gives you good points and does not increase your size.

Winning the hard badge seems to involve hitting invincibility or all bubbles at the point where it becomes impractical to dodge.
