These people are weird. "Oh look. That bear is growling and trying to claw me. Whatever. OH NO! THAT LIGHT BULB IS FLICKERING!!!! Quick! Jump out the window!"
Eh. This game's alright, but it's pretty easy to set up an endless loop, and then it's just a matter of how long you feel like leaving this window open and your computer on. 3/5. Might have gotten 4, but come on, Armorgames. You're better than this kind of thing.
This is pretty boring. Most of time I just find myself hitting "attack" until everything is gone, then advancing. This is what people hate about bad RPGs: the repetitiveness of it.
Sure wish there was a way to redo my actions while keeping the movements. Sometimes I have to restart 5 or 6 times just to fix my movements. Then I get them right and realized I messed up an action. That can get a bit frustrating.
I'm noticing 2 major flaws to the game. First, enemies don't spawn until you see them. It's like a step beyond classic 8-bit enemy respawning things, since you can move the screen away without moving your feet. Talk about "out of sight, out of mind." Second, enemies can shoot through walls, but you cannot. That's a HUGE problem! Enemies can be blocked off on all sides, but you're always a sitting duck! That's just unfair! And what would we have if both of these flaws were fixed? Nothing but a run-of-the-mill shoot-em-up game with nothing to set it apart from others. Not only broken, but un-original. 2/5.
I'm amazed at how fun this game can be, even after I got all the awards. I thought it would become boring after having played it for so long, but it's actually gotten MORE fun. Probably because now it's now a chore. Now it's a game again.
Pretty good game, but there's a bit of a balance issue, if you ask me. (isn't there always, with games that have multiple characters?) Personally, I think anyone without a double jump is useless in accomplishing any task. Trying to survive? Trying to get gold? Trying to kill things? All much easier with a double jump. Even the Barbarian, who still can't jump worth crap, is made much more useful with a double jump. Maybe you should implement some kind of defense or something, pr better yet, just give everyone double jump so their differences stand out better.
I hate Hard mode. Why are such cheap cards as the Sacrifice cards unlockable? That's not fair! That's like if I hand you a sword and say "you can unlock a shield if you kill someone who has a sword and shield."
"You will be able to turn off the gravity for a short period of time." Okay. How? Do I press a button? Will it spread this anti-gravity powerup throughout the levels? Does the game turn off gravity for me? How's this thing work?!
I can get up to level 5 or so, but I get stuck. It's such a simple level, but the controls are terrible! Even simple jumps become a major chore when you're on slightly sloped ground. 2/5. Good concept, bad execution.
While I am kind of a sucker for light-color based puzzles, this game barely even fits that criteria. Most of the difficulty is based on typical platform aspects: timing and accuracy. There are a couple of levels that use the colors in creative ways, (like level 21. That one was pretty cool.) but most of them are just bland and un-imaginative, or worse, obnoxious and difficult. (like level 22. That is not fun. That is annoying.) 3/5. Interesting concept, poor execution.
We already have a bunch of games like this. Games with less flaws. Like Pixel Legions, Blobble Wars, Phage Wars, Nano War......I'm probably forgetting some. Not only is this game similar, it's riddled with flaws. For one, there's these preset paths. It seems like it would be only logical to be able to send your units to any planet,( or whatever they are) but instead, you can only go in a few directions. Actually, the paths could have worked better if I didn't have to drag my mouse all the way to the destination. Why not just send them down the path? Aside from that, the game moves too slow (even at speed 3) and units don't remember my last commands if they get taken over by my enemy, than by me. Old concept + poor execution = 2/5.
Hit detection's off, music and sounds are annoying, weapons break if you swing at NOTHING, and melee combat is practically useless, as zombies will always hit you back. (not to mention you can't fight unarmed! What happens when my lousy crowbar gets destroyed by the air? I'm doomed!) Overall, the concept is nice, but it needs a thorough polishing to be a contending zombie game.
Twice now, I've opened the game only to hear a crazy sound that won't leave. It sounds like every sound being played at once. Refreshing seems to get rid of it, but that's something to look into.
Pros of custom Bubble Tanks: The best tank for you DOES exist. You just need to figure out what it is. Cons of custom Bubble Tanks: Making a ship that doesn't look terrible is very difficult.
