Probably the best of this kind of game, (and that's saying something) mainly because the difficulty is kept right. There aren't really any special bubbles the I would call "useless," which is a problem many other games have faced. I can't really think of any major flaws.
Do you think maybe you could get rid of the MaxGames logo? Or make it smaller? It's kind of intrusive, and coins get lost in it more often than I'd like.
Why are there hostages? I know it makes the name make sense, but then what's the point of letting us blow stuff up if we have to be careful? Level 8 has hostages at every corner, but it also has the grenade launcher! How can I get any fun out of it when I have to be so careful?
Perhaps it could say somewhere what that stuff on the ground is. It took forever for me to realize that the game wasn't lagging, I just couldn't jump there. Took even longer to learn it was ICE.
Why does it cost money to enter a fight? I guess maybe it's realistic, but we can save before each fight! We can just reload if we lose! It's really annoying to have to grind for money just so you can afford both the best parts AND the next fight. >_<
Is there any point in making us operate within a different 16th of the field every time? It's always the same size and shape, just turned. What's the point of that?
This game is an almost perfect representation of what people hate about RPGs. I'm willing to overlook the un-polished graphics and the annoying voiceovers, (though I wish I could turn those off without turning off the SFX, but whatever) but what really matters is the gameplay. It's really boring. 90% of the time it's "use strongest skill until you run out of mana, then use mana potion." On top of that, I was able to find a game-breaking strategy before the game started. Just choosing a Shielder and an attacking class (I chose a Rogue) makes you nearly invincible. The Shielder can use protect at the start of the fight, then Immortal Shield whenever the limit break shows up. Since the Rogue has Mana Strike to replenish his MP, it's not hard at all; just tedious. Either I got really lucky with my classes, or this game is just too easy. I'm a big RPG fan, so it's really sad to see an RPG with so little strategy element in it. 2/5
Poker and Breakout are both great games, but I don't think they go great together. All the strategy of Poker just doesn't blend well with Breakout, and a lot of things Breakout had, like level progression and powerups are removed to make way for the Poker point system.
I'm surprised the company doesn't mind how many of the company's assets I waste. Like, if I leave a burger on the grill all day, never flipping it, yet never serving it, no one notices. For this reason, I do it every day. :D
Anyone with Three Hands Technique is very cheap. It does a 15 damage burst attack. The damage is way more than enough to fell an average enemy, and the burst goes on long enough to kill 3 separate enemies in most cases. The long cooldown time simply means you have to wait a little between massacres. Please nerf the Technique. It makes everything too easy.
