I know any form of criticism always ends up under the rating threshold, but this game seriously needs a better UI. The click-switch between fill and x locks up and I have to use [c] to fix it. You can't just say "keyboard is recommended" and pretend it's fine. This game's been out for two years, why do you still have a major, common bug in a key function? Also, lazy players can just fill in the whole thing to see the puzzle, then correct it on a "retry" for full points. Seriously? Just play Picma.
So... a memory leak causes lag to build up after it runs for about 3 minutes, and the "See Solution" link is years dead. I know it's unfair to be harsh to a game that's 7 years old, but how did something this bad get picked for Badge of the Day?
The 4000k Story mode just isn't fun. I have a max+30 Shuttle, a max Orbital Cannon, 4 max+20 Shuttle Reactors, and 4 max+10 Fuel Canisters, and each run consists of about 10 minutes of gently tapping left and right to readjust against the wind. Afterwards, I'm still only covering 3000k distance. I'm not convinced a few more over-levels will cover the rest. Am I supposed to just keep replaying other modes for packs in hopes of better gear? I know the point of 4000k is to be gratuitous, but... don't make your game boring.
A glitch made all of my squad, except myself immortal. This meant I was more afraid of getting to close to my own Riflemen than I was of being directly under airstrikes.
What any game like this needs is some way to manage your squad. It shouldn't be tactical to go out of your way to have your Riflemen killed so that you can replace them with more useful soldiers. Pausing and using a menu to manage them would disrupt the flow of the game, but they should either have promotion paths, or we should have hotkeys to dismiss them, listed next to the helmets on the left side.
As a suggestion, it really needs a mute option, and the slowly scrolling text of the tutorial is a bit patience-testing; it would be best to just have the tutorial text filled in all at once, with the continue button present immediately.
SPOILERS: The walkthrough will get you every ending except the suicide one (easy), and "Hull Breach". To get it, you can "Continue" after following the walkthough to find yourself in the last room just before you blew up the bomb. Pick the bomb back up and take it to the crystal. Drop the crystal piece you found floating outside and the one you coughed up into the pile on the table, put the bomb there, and detonate it while you're in the room with it. Please [+] to keep this guide from getting buried.
Unless you're making an Xbox indie game, don't go making demos and collecting on sales for the complete game. Kongregate is already generating you money for your plays; don't push us.
I was very, very disappointed to see that auto shooting can't toggle into manual, using click to fire arrows. Also that the "free level up" granted for clearing +7 stages is not just a bonus skill point, but worth only exactly the amount of XP needed for your next level. It's a one-time upgrade and it's worth more the longer you put off getting it? Terrible. If you do a sequel again, please fix both of these things.
When you try to drive like a decent human being for that one achievement, you'll notice that all the other drivers on the road are also complete assholes with no concern for their own property damage. That's right, you're in Russia!
To help anyone else who's going to suffer through this terrible badge (since the walkthrough doesn't), make sure you grab 3 Locusts in the first outdoor area immediately on landing. You DON'T get a second chance. Go inside and come back out for 2 more, one of which is hiding behind dialogue you'll need to skip quickly. After crossing over to the balcony of the second area, grab 2 more. Go left alone and grab 3. Heading right, 3 more appear. And when you follow the drunk, the last 2 will be there, one hidden behind dialogue again. Go through the gate WITHOUT the mask on or the badge won't trigger, and you'll have nothing to screenshot to prove you earned it.
Without the Locusts challenge, the game isn't bad. With it, it's the most pathetic garbage I've played in weeks. Not only is the "reenter the room to retry" tip flatly wrong, but it requires the player to frantically skip dialogue, freezes often, and doesn't trigger the badge if you do it while wearing the mask. Any retrying means starting from the beginning. Just terrible.
You know what, I can't put up with this. You say all energy transactions are disabled, but I'm still being harassed by demands to buy energy, and the links take me to a purchase. Also, constant nagging to harass all my friends into playing, circulate ads for your game, AND refresh the page to hike your play count is all bad practice. It's not even that great of a game; it was a unique idea the first time, but this one's hardly even improved. It's a decent game, but the experience is just horrible.
People reach beyond 100,000k altitude, so I just had to give them a slightly more challenging mode.
