Oh. You have to use both the pen AND paper on the radio. Could have been a little clearer about that. Thought I'd tripped over a bug when the paper just disappeared. Still, some parts could have been clearer(especially the letters, which are just impossible to read). 4/5. 5 if you can fix the letters.
This game could have been so much better. I lost the TP somehow, when I clicked it on the radio. Then I don't see the code, and the letters are illegible because it looks like someone just typed a whole mess of words over each other, and there's no clue what to do next. 3/5. :(
Small issue with Extreme Gardening. Everytime I click the carrot, it pops open the upgrade, necessitating my tapping spacebar to close it. Maybe make the Upgrade collision box smaller? Especially since you can just use spacebar to open it anyway.
Second attempt of today and I get first country: Madagascar. Game is now mine to lose! XD
94 days later: Disease never left Madagascar and they've shut down shipyards. FUUUUUUU!
"Endless mode 1750 in one game - Completed!" 1850m run so far. I can do this! 1859m - Mission Failed from running into a building. FUUUUUUU! Anyway, the way I did it was to ruthlessly kill off all "useless" soldiers, especially the lag-tastic grenadiers/flamethrowers. Retain only Snipers and Rocketeers. They both do massive damage, and Rocketeers fire homing missiles. Time to try again!
One bad thing. The opening bit where you need to get the kids' attention, I just keep moving back and forth, and I can't do anything with the bucket. Needs to be a bit more intuitive sometimes. Love these games, but yeah, if I need a walkthrough 2 minutes into the game... :/
I want to love this game, but after getting the scythe and the string, it's very unintuitive as to how to continue. Spent half an hour walking through the same few zones, talking to the same few people, but can't get past the sphinx, the cultists are useless, and I can't get past the fire. Oh, and the cacti are useless. Hate when I have to use a walkthrough to continue past the first five minutes of play. :(
Keep getting screwed over in FUBAR mode after the 3 km mark, and sometimes before, when the system becomes unresponsive. Can only click to fire, but the crosshairs won't move, so pretty much forced to abort, which then doesn't count my distance travelled. :(
Small bug. If you have already bought the maximum upgrade, it's blanked out. Not so for the Hull. You can keep buying the Diamond Hull over and over again, so if you're forgetful, you could wind up burning up your cash by mistake(not that it really matters once you max out cooling, but still, something to bear in mind for future games. :) )
I wish Civilians didn't die when you're moving at the minimum speed. And also, that they would learn to CLIMB IN when I move beside them, instead of some weird combination of "line the civilian up practically in front of your bumper, but come to a complete stop!".
Finally beat the crap out of Level 15. Lightning all the way, spread all upgrades evenly, go with the chains except for the topmost pair which goes with the balls. After that, keep upgrading the chains.
Also, it bears mentioning, the steam is most effective against unarmored units(you'd think armored units would die from the overheating, but I guess not), so aim it at the planes, as well as the grand airships in the finale.
I found Level 15 impossible to beat, along with half the Challenges after Level 3. Even with full upgrades. Even following Youtube videos that beat it, I still wind up getting my ass kicked. Possibly not helped by the turrets having very specific movement paths that get screwed up if I so much as cut a corner by a single pixel. :(
Small issue. If you have mages shooting at mages, on opposite sides of a hill, the game will be stuck because nobody wins(all shooting into the ground).
For some reason, people downrated my previous comment. To speed up the game, open a notepad window. Maximise the notepad. Set up your towers till you're satisfied, hold down the spacebar, then alt-tab to the notepad. If you alt-tab back, the "faster" option is enabled. If you don't, it's even faster still, because your system doesn't have to spend resources animating stuff that you're not seeing.
For those complaining about lag: I sometimes play this while MUDding, but you can also do it with a simple Notepad window. Start the wave(with your towers all set up). Click and hold down the "Fast" button. Now alt-tab to the other window. You will have it massively accelerated due to the Fast button being held down(please don't "fix" this, IriySoft! Or if you do, just make it so one click holds the Faster on, and another switches it off.), as well as not having to draw all the graphics on the screen. If you don't think this works, turn on the sound. The zaps come like twice as fast as when the window is focused with Faster held down, and probably 6 times as fast as when it's focused on the browser without Faster on.
