You can hire units only in Deployment mode. It is not available all time long, lasts only 45 seconds, and in some missions there is no deployment mode at all. In such cases try to use all resources you've got from the beginning.
just watching the crisis and re-growth. There needs to be a maximum for the wood stock. this would prevent chopping of woodland and halt expansion. the barren land should spread in localised areas rather than an equal density over the whole map. Having odd patches of barren land stops trees regrowing until it has regenerated in a 3x3 patch. If the barren land grew in larger patches then the 3x3 regenerated land would appear much sooner and the population crash would be halted earlier rather than waiting for it to fall from several hundred thousand to just ~600. on other similar games, the die back of any population (prey or predator) is localised. That is the main problem here. All people suffer; even if they have trees next to them the global shortage kills them off.
"(R) restore land" the R button does nothing for me. What is it meant to do? Is it only when there are brown waste tiles? It should be labelled "Restore wastelands" (If it is that I only figured it out while typing this).
hi bjhamer! dev speaking here. thanks for the feedback. you're right, it should be "restore wastelands", it would be clearer to understand. thanks for all the feedback on the way crisis work. i'm working on a sequel now, re-vamping the simulation, fixing performance and in this redesign the crisis will work in a more localized way. each forest will be a separate entity, so chopping it down will harm that forest and not all of the forests of the world. any way, as soon as i have a working prototype and a proper devlog i'll come here and post it so the people interested can take a look. cheers!
would be nice if wood was cut down in stages (like it grows) and had a regrow rate. this would make smaller civilisations more stable.
different kinds of people would be nice. like different colour scale for eco people. Or a people that have a different growth habit like villages rather than one big mass of houses.
there needs to be more flexibility in making cars. the max length of a "frame" is too short. also want to be able to make a join half way along a frame.
would be nice if it were (a lot) harder... but then could get incomplete answers scored (as a % of the correctly coloured squares?) and need 90% to get to the next level.
Maybe an extra level of gameplay... like the top two layers mix to create a new colour. Use RGB (black background) and create YCM... and then you could do the same with subtraction. Ie. white background and YCM make RGB. This could prove to be the starts of something very interesting.
carrot grow speed is sort of pointless... can we have an upgrade for collecting veg. so that we can plant and leave it harvesting at a slow rate. fully upgraded would keep animals topped off... just planting required...?
its too laggy. I can't even upgrade anymore and i only have 15 screens.
Also, low res needs looking at. Its slower even when there is only one game going on and without any upgrades...?
how i managed to miss the large karmic seal the second time is beyond me... but besides that i didn't need a walkthrough. :)
Less heavy on info than the last one (good and bad). and easier to navigate (good and bad). Overall a great addition to the series. XD
i gave up having my pc running 24/7 at hellstone 95. It's been at least 6 weeks since. ohhh my goodness its slow when its truly idle. cba...
There i was thinking i cd come back after a year and it be finished by itself.
