The high rating is mysterious indeed. Kongregate should perhaps look into these folks. It's one thing to pump out garbage games, it's quite another to hold an army of fraudulent accounts to give the game an artificially high rating. 1/5, again. If I were just playing this game anyway, I might give it a 2 or 3 (if I'm feeling generous). But it's the same thing, every time, with the same annoying bugs. So 1/5.
Walls are by far the most essential drop for winning. I was getting really frustrated on just level 1, always running out of ammo or letting the robots get through. Then I finally got my first 'Walls' bonus and won.
It would be nice if the stars were perhaps ordered in some way so we can know roughly where we might find the star we're missing. 3rd star on list, last in level. Ugh.
Ah, the satisfaction of 3 starring every level without buying premium content (sad that I won't get to play those other 2 levels though). Great game, thoroughly difficult and great fun throughout. Kept me entertained for quite a while! 5/5 (A sequel would be great, perhaps with more story)
This is like yur previous games, but retextured. Same sound effects, though. Same fun bugs too. Maybe try fixing up the issues with old games before releasing new ones that have the same issues.
You can continue farming previous levels for 1 point. If you're stuck, do that. I wouldn't advise upgrading any individual units, go for the generalized upgrades instead. Until it is patched, you can also use Annie if you are stuck, she actually loads at the same level as the Pirate so she gets an incredibly powerful Area of Effect attack relatively quickly. Really good to just spam her if you have any intakill points invested too.
The lack of an ending made me sad. You even had good potential for an ending, with the dwarves defending a giant stone colossus in the last level (Which could have perhaps been put to use afterward, to fend off any other giants, finally giving the dwarves peace or something). Ah well. Still a great game. Really difficult, but that just makes it so much more fulfilling when you finally win. Don't listen to all the comments saying it's too difficult, that's just nonsense.
Man, nobody else rate ubergamer's comment. It is just perfect at its current rating. (And it also takes on a more sinister meaning). Anywho... This is a nice game.
Also some sort of indicator in-level or on the level select that tells us if builders in that level can fight fires. It can be annoying in levels where they don't, but you don't realize they don't until it's too late.
The increased builder cost and maintenance makes some previously winnable levels unwinnable (most notably the Puzzle Campaign, but possibly others as well). If you can't find some sort of fix for that then you should probably remove those maps to save people the frustration.
Do people know you can scroll the map with WASD? I don't see why map scrolling is such an awful thing. I've had no issues with it. You can also click on the minimap if you hate using the keyboard or something.
Mammoths are a pain in the butt. Try to put swordsmen nicely scattered along so they can slow it down, but by the time you get enough swordsmen you don't have enough damaging towers. Anyone have a good strategy for handling them? If a giant ever makes it through my lines, it's always a mammoth (And usually just barely, with 5k or less health. But it just rolls on through).
It's funny how people say this is a copy of Kingdom Rush. Kingdom Rush had a very nice layout for upgrades and the map, you would be silly to not use a similar design unless you're using a different upgrading system. The actual gameplay is hardly similar at all, your towers vertically stack, there are giant bosses, the game is from the side not top-down, there's really plenty different about this game. But wait... Oh my gosh! Both games have a soldier, wizard, archer, and cannon unit!? WELCOME TO EVERY TOWER DEFENSE GAME EVER! Not just Kingdom Rush. Come on now folks. The game is fun and original. 5/5.
Hover your mouse over the builder button, if they can fight fires it will tell you there.
