Zombie Strength and Health seem very valuable. Killing enemy zombies sends deadly zombie ghosts back towards their bases, so just spamming zombies everywhere you can win pretty easily, if you buy health and damage. Regen speed is like poison early on, it just lets the enemy send more ghosts at you.
I'm not going to lie.... I have no clue what the heck is going on in this game. There are clearly more zombies coming out of my base than are being generated. The 'Zombie Ghosts' things just seems like... A really poor gameplay design. So I send out an army to greet the enemy attack, my base runs dry and his zombie ghosts rape me.
Level 24 is seriously pretty lame. I'm sure there's some secret strategy to doing it. Or wicked fast click reactions and luck. Either way, I'm not going to win this game.
Pretty buggy transitioning between levels, frequently have to refresh. No clue what the buildings do until you capture them and experiment. The mechanic of each base only have x amount of balls is kind of annoying. Makes defense difficult, most level degenerate to me just clicking all over the place so 2-3 balls end up on each planet. There ARE plenty of games like this, this is just a base capture game, not something entirely new and innovative. Yes, you've put your own unique spin on it, but don't say that this isn't just another base capture game, because it is. Search games tagged as 'cell' for proof. Nice try, hammer out those bugs (going to the next level frequently bugs and 'freezes' the game) and I might come back later to rate.
Hmm... This all seems very elaborate just to play some 9x9 games of Minesweeper. I guess you wanted to do minesweeper, but more than just minesweeper. However, this doesn't quite seem like it's anything at its current point.
I've recently discovered the joy of island warfare... Using bridges and tier 4 explosives. 80 bucks to wipe your foe off the face of the earth? Why certainly! FWOOSH!
A 'delete items' brush, and an undo button would be great for the editor (unless those are there, just hiding). Portals and graves are super annoying if you accidentally place one wrong.
Undo is regretably tricky, but i'll see what I can do. The other couple of enhancements you mentioned Blue0Dwarf i'll try to put in v1.17K, which i'm working on now. It is lower priority (aka not game disabling) bugs so i'm delaying releasing it so it can include more content. I'll aim for tomorrow, though Easter may delay that.
The Achievement checker is broken, it awards achievements for any difficulty. Except the 'Win the campaign' achievement, that one tracks for Adept+ only. *continues searching for remaining 2 easter eggs. and what a fitting time to do so :D*
I have to agree, the Vile pretty much slaughter the AI's. If you feel like it, you can win most maps by turtling until the AI submits. Unless there are capture goals.
It is a reoccurring bug though. To anyone who runs into this issue (Vile spawning endlessly, and crazy lava flows) just refresh the page. It will take you back one turn, and the glitch will likely not occur that turn. Slightly annoying, but at least you don't have to restart.
Good catch Blue0Dwarf, thank you for reporting it. It seem especially prone to occur on the new "Survival of the Fittist" map. I'll track it down as quickly as I can and get fix posted. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Thanks for your patience. I just posted v1.11k which corrects this problem.
Survival of the Fittest custom map should be deleted. After turn one the game ends as vile spawn on everything, die on the lava flows, and then respawn on the lava flows again endlessly. Been waiting for 5 minutes in the hopes of it finishing up, since sometimes it gets close, but nope. No good.
The attack bot is basically 'Improved tower with THREE guns'. Like the first improvement, it just adds another forward-facing turret that shoots where you aim. Pretty useless for a 'bot'.
Just found out explosives were under charging you... a tier 4 was only costing 20 not 80. Oops! Fixed in latest patch.
