I'm amazed that one of the highest comments is complaining about the only aspects of the game that make it even remotely difficult, and anyone who tries to justify the game gets slammed with downvotes. You people are just frustrated. The hard badge is HARD, not easy. Quit complaining about the spinning and the 'broken controls'. Though I could do without the flashing, removing it would make the game easier; though more importantly it'd make it easier on the eyes, which I could definately support :P
Other than that, this game is still riddled with bugs. I think it could go far, but it needs some patching up. for sure. One annoying thing is that the character seems to have a mind of his own after you hit enter, not going for the car you were thinking he'd go for, and not being able to back off if the car he's headed to becomes unreachable.
I love that the city goes to hell even if you don't do anything. When I started the game I scrolled down to read the comments, by the time I scrolled back up there were dead people and money laying everywhere and cars were just barreling down the sidewalks. Awesome.
How to instantly fix this game: Add ability to 'Bonk' penguins on the head, forcing them to target the next closest turtle. And maybe a money magnet upgrade :P
One thing that puts the upgrade system of this game above other games is that buying low level upgrades makes the higher level upgrades cheaper. No more struggling through levels to save up enough cash so you don't waste it levelling slowly! Thank you!
Bummer, ninja kiwi seems to be down. Glad I grabbed my daily multiplyer before that happened. To other folks: Don't be raging that your account is gone. Ninja kiwi went down, once it's back up your account will be accessible again, no losses.
If you believe you have a sound, self sufficient, defense grid you could try this to reduce lag: Don't look at the screen. Tab out, get the bloons out of sight so that the graphics don't have to render and it's pure number crunching going on. That should speed thngs up, and if you need to use powers to keep your defense up you can always just click back in briefly to see how things are going and unleash a horde of phoenix or a barrage of monkey pirate grappling hooks.
@WinthropthePug: Rather than being able to mute the BZZT (Reminant sounds from the electro tower?) it should just be removed all together. It's very unpleasant and has no reason to be there. I think it's a bug.
I seemed to get less planes the more I upgraded stuff. Sure, there were a few times when a dozen planes would fly across all at once but... This game is way too luck based for my liking.
