I've found that the maps are a lot easier if you go for pure red mushrooms (perhaps with a wealth thrown in as the first tower built), and then just level those to 4 or 5.
I loved the game, got a new computer, and got the pleasure of playing it again... But whenever I click a tile it rotates 180 degrees instead of 90 degrees. This obviously makes it impossible to get further than level two. :(
To clear lvl 5 I used wind energy. Start by turning off the coal plant, build 4 wind mills (build up to 8 as energy allows), an oil rig and 3 metal mines. Use cannons for defense, and accept that there will be times when your energy is at zero due to lack of wind.
The walkthrough doesn't give the best solution to the levels. It tells you how to pass, not how to pass with the best time.
Once you've played through all levels, and have a feel for how to slow down opponents best, go back and replay those that you only got 1, 2 or 3 stars on.
Why not just allow us to select where to put the balls? It appears like this sliding blue thingie is just annoyance and timeconsuming, but has no real impact on gameplay.
Somewhat entertaining, but it feels pretty easy so far, and I'm more than halfway through. It might pick up later, but I'm not going to wait for it too. With the amount of games in here, I'm not going to wait for one to eventually turn good. 3/5 for promising start but no staying power.
I'm sort of a brute force alchymist. :) My levels are full of manipulators, all of them on full 18-symbol cycles (where 10-12 are waits). More often than not I have a waste-arm to remove the one halffinished product that makes it to the bowl because my arms are out of sync... but I get the levels done. :)
Excellent game, 5/5!
Perhaps a way to see if you've made a level with the minimum symbols or sycles would be great. That way, you could see if there was something to aim for on a passed level... I know it's sad, but I actually thought 4 was the minimum cycles for level 1 for quite some time. I would have had hours of fun if I'd known I was not near perfection yet. :)
Guys, you might not have noticed, but even though the computer spawns troops faster than you possibly can, you're the only one with fire support! Upgrade everything untill you have 9999 mana. Send in the first wave. Wait untill mana is full. Be ready to absorb their conuterattack. Repeat untill you've won. It's not exactly rocket science.
