Suffers from the same basic problems as Achilles, namely the infighting that happens when the enemy gets to close. And the autoturning towards enemies that kills all hope of fighting effectivily when facing two enemies from different sides of the screen. In additon, it sucks having to walk backwards when enemies appaers from behind. All in all a welldeserved 1/5...
In challenge 20, I killed him with a "blast 'em". If you've got that card on your hand, don't use it untill it's a killing blow. If you don't have it, stall for time untill you draw it or die. :)
I think the hardets part is the green helicopters and the missile ufo... The ufo is especially fangerous if it decides to fire a missile when you're at the top of a high jump. Then it's one life down straight away.
The close combat sucks. When an enemy gets close to you, you might as well strach about 40% of your life. Archers outside screen suck! The randomness in damage done pr swing makes it impossible to plan. Sometimes enemies with very little life left survives a swing, sometimes you decapitate them in one go. Overall a welldeserved 1/5.
For the scannerboss, position yourself under his center cannons. That is, place your fairy so you can't se it. He won't be able to hit you, and you can easily take his first 3 lifes. For the fourth life, place yourself lower left corner and blast away, except when he's scanning. Worked for me!
Oh come on, nobodys forcing you to play. I didn't enjoy it very much either, but it wasted some minutes of my life, and that's what Kong is all about, right. :)
For Stickicdal, kill off all your men without saving even a single.
When you have 50 saves, you'll enter stage two. The game ends after some tim in stage two (when the world-monster has dropped three lines of people, I think). So aim for 50 saves and take it from there.
A nice trick is to doublejump some men. Doubletap space bar when a truck is moving into a safe position. That'll give you more safes faster, and is as easy as singletapping.
To get the birdman costume, win 1 race with 4 runners in Blacklight, razor blade and it's new york. Each of these gives, with 4 contestants, 1 piece of the bird suit.
Hints: Allways buy the cheapest enemies first. Do not attempt to prioritize based on abilities unless two enemies cost the same amount. In that case, go for miners first, bouncers second, and homers LAST.
Use Boom to prolong any combo, no matter how lousy it looks. That extra flighttime is often enough for new enemies to enter, thus prolonging the combo, earning those allimportant xp.
When the low fuel light goes on, head for the earth. Do not prolong combos unless you don't have the xp for next level. Start dodging enemies and bullets, xp will only be earned when you touch ground. It's very possible to blow up in midair while doing a nice combo.
Don't go for the height-badge untill you have maxed out all enemies. Time in the heights is time away from the enemies.
The cheapest way to get to space without any luck involved (that is, with no need for platforms) is lvl. 3 e-rockets, lvl. 10 launcher, lvl. 9 band.
I made it in 5 days by this buy: First day: lvl. 3 launcher. Go straight up, collect stuff on your way down.
From there, only upgrade one launcher or band, buying one of them to as high as possible. First chance you get, buy parachute 1. Then, deploy the chut at the top of your flight, and glide around, collecting coins. Do NOT hit any platforms for some time. This will give you easy money, and a long flight-time. Don't buy e-rockets untill you can afford lvl. 3 in one go. Then take it form there. I did it in 5 days, but it does depend on getting a good first launch (at least 150 dollars on day 1).
