As others have said, you're really on to something here! I'd love to see this concept expanded into a longer, more in-depth game. It's a very intriguing idea!
I liked it! A deliciously malevolent little coffee-break game, with art and visuals that were appealing, and a control scheme that was a lot more intuitive than it sounded. I'd love to see a longer version of this. If it has any faults, then that would be how easy it is, but for what this game is, I don't think that's an issue. Well done, and thanks for sharing.
Short, sweet, and clever. It kind of threw me, not being able to see his feet (because apparently either he BADLY needs to get his invisible trousers hemmed, or his shoes are also invisible), but it was nonetheless a very slick and funny coffee-break game.
I'm sorry to see your game didn't work out, because this is a very neat webtoy you've created here. The sense of "whoa" when I found my first nebula was a nice little thrill. I hope that you try coming back to this someday, but as it is, it's enjoyable and relaxing. Nicely done.
A very challenging, visually stunning game, and the music is really great and very appropriate. Some constructive criticism: the controls seemed a bit fidgety at times, and I'm not a fan of being able to stand inside the "trigger" blocks. Also, the graphics seem a bit pixelated, specifically the player character himself. Also, you can be pushed through the floor if you stand under a moving platform...it would possibly look better if you either "died" or simply stopped the platform from moving further. Otherwise, this obviously has a lot of potential, and I look forward to seeing the whole thing!
Not bad. The one thing I notice most is the lack of a soundtrack. I think music would make a very nice addition to the game. Otherwise, though, this is pretty enjoyable!
This is possibly one of the best music games I've ever played. The song is catchy and vibrant, and the gameplay perfectly syncs and really shows the music off. Very well done, and now I feel like I want to fire this game up just to listen to the music!
There's pixel art games...there's interactive storytelling...and then there's...this. Dude, you need to get over it. And also, don't EVER hit your girlfriend.
Not bad. Like the others said, strafing controls would very much improve things, and I wish that it had a better (aka less abrupt) ending. Otherwise, though, it's not bad at all, definitely better than most of the other Unity games on this site.
Diabolically simple in gameplay, and oddly addicting. This practice game was far better than a slew of "real" games that have been released here. Well done!
I'll be honest: I didn't think I'd like this game at first. From the screenshots, it looked like a TD game, which isn't my thing, but I thought I'd give it a whirl anyway.
I'm totally a convert now. This was one of the most fun games I've played on Kong in a while! I actually cackled evilly aloud as I played this. Well done!
This was a very interesting experimental game. The floaty physics is a big problem--very distracting from the gameplay. The lack of any sort of story or ending is also an issue...but, apart from those two things, this was actually pretty good. Especially liked the fact you had to experiment with the rods and figure out what they did. I was puzzled that it didn't seem like having no power had any effect. All in all, lots of potential, needs some tightening up to become a great little game.
I feel like this game had a lot of potential that it almost, oh so very almost met. Atmosphere was well-done. The feeling of being completely alone in an unfamiliar environment was nicely done, sound of only wind and distant animal noises in place of music a very nice touch. Controls were easy, and it's a very good implementation of the "power up to advance" method. Also, the pixel style is perfect for this. Reminds me a bit of "After Years In Dark Tunnels". However, the presence of guardians and clues made me think there was a big surprise at the end, but I was disappointed to find there was none. You fought the last guardian, and then..."The humans move in, game over." Lack of a twist wouldn't bother me so much, I think, it the game hadn't been building up to one. In fact, I think this would have been a great candidate for multiple endings. So, to sum up: Very good game, but I feel like with just a little more put into the story, it could have been truly great.
I am SO glad to see this come to Kongregate! Though this game carries with it the danger of being repetitive after playing the same dungeons over and over trying to unlock new characters (especially the rare ones), it's nonetheless extremely addicting. It's like the traditional RPG version of Pokemon. Now excuse me, I must go find that Dire Baby...
Awwwwwww!!! Sweet little game. The pixel art doesn't quite match with the "hand-drawn" backgrounds, but I especially like the way the world is gradually added to and colored as one progresses. Thanks for sharing!
