Reminds me so much of World of Goo and... another game that's even more similar, though I can't remember which one off hand. Well, it's a cuter World of Goo. :)
It definitely has potential. I like the format. So close to at least a 4 star game. Need: A little more variation. Don't just say, "See in game tutorial", put the instructions over there, it's not hard. I still have no idea how to shoot the guns. It's not something obvious like Space or RFVC keys. See if you can sharpen the controls a bit. There feels like there's a bit of lag from the time you hit a key to the time she does something. Very tiny, but noticeable when things get hectic. The upgrades need some revamp. I do look forward to the finished product. Good job so far, good luck!
What in-game tutorial? I have no idea what's going on... and as others have asked, what's the storyline here? What is she running from/to? Is it just... "You stole something, run!" o.O
Level 7? Yeah, really stupid. Like really really stupid. Amazingly bad. It's physically impossible to move the ship fast enough to avoid the orbs, especially since at several points the orbs come in a solid sheet wave that you actually can't avoid in any manner. Other than that, pretty neat concept. 2/5
Fun game by I don't think the strategic implications of the "infection" thing were thought out and balanced very well. Definitely puts a big buzzkill into the game.
A little constructive criticism, the dot-eating noise could be a few octaves lower. The constant, "ping ping ping" gets grates on the ears eventually, I talked to a couple of people who turn the sound off for this, but personally I think the sound is necessary for the mood and to hear the ghosts, so that's not good. I can get used to it, but I can understand their complaints. It would be nice if it were customizeable but I know that's a stretch. Just lowering the octave of the eating a bit would probably help.
Really awesome job. And this could be a basis for more complex maze games. FPS might not be the best term for it though, after all, there's no "Shooting"... Maybe it should be FPE - First Person Eater. hehe 5/5
My last comment was horrible. I'll try to be nicer and more concise. And better with the grammar stuff. One distinct problem I have: First level, you start off with 300 money, enough to buy 3 Ninjato or 2 Tekko-kagi. The enemy immediately pumps 8 bad guys with guns onto the battlefield. There is not fighting against that. None. You gain enough money to pop out one or two more guys, but that's not enough. It feels very untested, like maybe it's in Beta? Otherwise I see a lot of potential...
I was wondering at first why there were no comments after 2,715 gameplays... now I see why. There's nothing worth commenting on. You start the game, get you zerged by a dozen bad guys while you're lucky if you can squeeze out half 4 or 5, and you lose. End of story. No easy levels to start off with to get used to the game, just... Start. Die. Ragequit. I didn't think I'd picked a Beta game, but... I wasn't paying much attention to what I was clicking on, I saw something about Ninjas and was all, "Ooh, ninjas!" Well, the premise is interesting, maybe I'll check back later to see if it's been "fixed". 1/5
Just finished the game. Really like it, still sticking to my 5/5 ranking. The one thing that bugged me was the way things were built. It's great that you can dig down to build parts for more complicated recipes, but you should be able to go "back" up to the higher level part easily, without having to go back to the original recipe/engineering part and digging back down. Know what I mean?
Well, try number 20 on the last battle for the Crimson Horde failed miserably again. Don't even last 3 minutes. Usually less than two. Insanely frustrating. Tried several different tactics, nothing is working. Rage quit! Now I remember why I never completed that last map last time I played, heh. It's not like there's any real strategy involved. You start, enemy zergs and lightning bolts you, you die. Not even "challenging" so much as just not fun. :( Bummer, some potential there. 2/5
Been playing this game for the last week at every opportunity, and I only just realized I haven't rated it or Favorited it. So, yeah, 5/5, Favorited (a rare thing for me), there, you happy? Good, back to the game. Need gold.
Great platformer... though I don't fully understand the decision to go with follow-cursor movement... it's so kludgy. Would've much preferred a choice (and would've gone with arrows or WASD personally). But, while I'm not done, I'll give it 4/5 'cause it really is fun so far.
Wow, I was on Expert level 8... that's 28 levels... all gone because there's no level select. There are few game development sins worse than not having a Mute function, but you managed to nail one hard. 1/5
