I really, really, really, really, REALLY wish the "Try Again" button offered a "Load game" option. When I die I usually don't want to try again from the very start, I usually want to try again from my last save point. Also, a separate save point for each map would be super awesome!
It was lots of fun until I spent almost a full hour on a single map hunting 3 freakin' zombies. Only 3 left... no idea where they are. They could be laying down pretending to be dead, I dunno, I went around shooting every corpse I saw. Aggravating.
It's like a cheap, terrible version of BridgeIt. So basically, it's the Flash version of a pay-for game, so I guess in the grand scheme of things it's not really bad. For a Flash game. Definitely could've used some basic features that would make it better. I see most of these are listed in the Top Comments already. Modifying the existing parts after creating is probably my biggest pet peeve and the connection detection are my biggest peeves I think. Eh, well, for what it is it's not bad. 3/5
So, so very happy that this finally came to Kongregate. It loads infinitely faster and I can finally buy in-game items with Kreds. I've been playing the game over on ninjakiwi.com for months and I their page for buying the NK things is broken hard. So now, like BTD4, I can go ahead and blow $$ on it. XD Love the game. 5/5
Lies. It says it auto-saves after you kill bosses. This game never saves. Every time I reload, it starts a new game. And I look up and the high score is james 310,000,000,009,130... is that possible? It might be higher, dunno, the score goes behind the Max Games logo... there may be more digits.
The intro was awesome, loved that. Started playing and it seems like a cool game. Then I realized it was a nothing more than a FaceBook MMO in a shiny shell. And it was all downhill from there. Sadness. :(
Not seeing a mute button... is it at the main menu and not in-game? Kinda wanna listen to my music, but... I guess I'll just pause it... not that I like listening to my own music while playing games....
Aw man! I was so excited to see a new Epic War game... then I get, "Connecting..." and scroll down to read... it's Online. Bummer. :( I thought Kong always kept those at the bottom of the list of the Hot New Games... I was tricked! Oh well, I'll keep my eyes out for the next Epic War single player. Not gonna rate it, just not a fan of this type. :) Though I might try it if it connects...
Start off with one pistol. Upgrade to a better pistol for $500. Two of the original pistol: $2,400? o.O Why can't I just buy 2 of the "upgraded" pistols for $1K. >.<
Wow, that was bad. I've seen worse, and this is better than some, but still such a waste of potential. One thing that gets me the most: Where is the challenge? Where are the descriptions of the targets so we're forced to decide who the target is? Like the two guys camping: There should've been clues in the mission description to tell us which one it should be, even something as simple as "likes to smoke". Cliche as that is, it's still better than having to flip a coin. Shooting the rope of the bungee jumper was pretty much the only interesting mission. My other gripe is the shortness of the game vs weapon selections. I never bought anything higher than the 3rd weapon and that was only because the game forced me to. I didn't even earn enough money to get the better rifles before the end. There was no real storyline, no plots to follow, nothing more than "Can't find a job, think I'll kill people for money." I'd think a #5 in the series would be better fleshed out. 2/5
Ran into a bit of a bug... killed off all the cars, but it's still going... the only thing I did differently is that the last game I played I hit Restart...
Make a part 2, expand on it. This was a lot of fun, but as I'm sure others have mentioned, it could use so much expansion. I hope you won something for the game jam! 4/5
Very good game for a "1", you should definitely incorporate some of the ideas already mentioned here into a 2. I'm a fairly fast typer (avg 85wpm) so I found it very simple and short (beat it in 35 minutes or so). But it was fun and I'd love to see more. 4/5
Should be able to dodge the boss shots somehow... maybe a "roll" dodge button you have to press at just the right time, not just "shoot him to death before he shoots me to death and the winner is who can the most fastest and whoever has the best armor wins." where no one ever misses. Oh except you, the boss, no, never. That's not a fun battle.
