So. I'm going to be really picky here, but if the game requires you to use the mouse at some point, please say that in the directions. Even if you just say "Mostly controlled by WASD or arrow keys." Also, I mysteriously started my 1st game ever on Stage 8, so not being able to complete it via the commands listed in the directions was *highly* annoying.
I'm sure this will sound crazy, but it'd be nice if the dialog stopped hiding the enemy location indicators. Not fun being unable to fight/dodge in the middle of a firefight simply because the dialog is covering up all *actually* useful information.
First of all, I hate the controls. Jumping with wind crystals doesn't work well for me. Half the time, jumping onto a short wall doesn't work either. Also, explain why exiting a level with full health means I start the next (each?) stage with 2 of 3 health?
Okay, so I just finished the Ruined Smithy using only fire-type footmen, but didn't earn the Brutish skill...? Pretty sure that's melee-only, just like the earn requirement states...?
Well, I did everything, bought everything... Boomerang might be nice, but by the time I got it (expensive), I wasn't impressed. My std. equip is the Spike Helm (+attack), best avail armor, and the Halbeard (sic). Halberd is the only weapon I found that hits -through- obstructions. Bows and Boomerang don't. That means the only threat left are enemies that fly over bushes/trees/etc. i.e. Bats. If for some reason I needed more distance, the Magic Bow was nice for that, since it, at least, is accurate. The Magic sword might be the strongest weapon, but it was such close range the enemy injured me every time I used it. Minor complaint: wish I'd found the Anchor relic *before* I'd explored 70-80% of the water...
I like it, but... The (enemy) factory turrets seem overpowered, given that they are able to repeatedly, constantly flip my attacking tanks. Seemed to be a bigger problem with the better wheels and on both Double Trouble (right side), and the HQ(?) of Heart of Darkness. Heart of Darkness, especially, I had a heap of tanks, 5+ deep, flipped upside-down next to the factory, unable to do anything. Next time I had a tank come in, it'd last 2-3 shots, and then once it was close enough that the turret was aiming at the back 1-2 tires, it'd get flipped on the next shot, and... yeesh.
fascinating. sometimes i can't sell items to vendors, occasionally i can... looked through help section, but now have somehow activated an auto-fire mode? which hits villagers too. keeps firing whether i'm defending, melee attacking, walking, etc. occasionally hits 6-7x in a row? how odd. please try fixing the bugs and mispellings.
Picky of me, I know, but the "Instructions" are rather lacking. Given that the game doesn't list commands, either, it'd be nice to mention aiming/shooting with the mouse. Game's a *lot* more difficult if you think moving and fixing things is all you can do...
I like the game, but... No replay/reset/try again/start over button at the end is a minus. Also, having a level end when there's still coins around is extremely frustrating, since collecting as much cash as possible is the only way to do well.
I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that when I said I'd like to be able to aim (strafe), I didn't ask to be shafted in exchange for using it (-50% dmg while strafing). You don't like strafing, ok, I got that pretty clearly now. You didn't put it from the beginning, after all.
What fun, I finally defeat the boss, and the screen blacks out on me. Eventually, I get the pause screen, and coming out of that, I have the joy of re-fighting the boss? Which I then lose against, which means I then lose all levels...? bleh. I beat it, why do I get punished for winning?
Would like more options for using iron. Game ended with over 1700 iron, while having ~100 of everything else. Due to a huge magic stockpile, and spell #3 (hail), won last battle w/o moving a tile or making a unit. Did cost ~350 magic, however.
