Considering the in-game listed publish date is 2007, it seems fairly decent, but... There's something about this game (and the listed uploader) that *just* doesn't sit right...
Ok, so I did the Supporter Achievement, and saw that it was, indeed unlocked in the Achievements list, and *then* started a game. In that game, I had nothing other than the starter guns, so no Lucky Pendant from the achievement.
Now the Supporter Achievement is locked (again), and I can't seem to re-achieve it. Or get the benefit thereof. : /
Very mysteriously, the hit box for collecting coins is significantly smaller than the hit box for dying to enemy shots. I can fly directly over/through a cloud of 10+ coins and pick up 2. However, if an enemy shot comes within a hair of me, I'm dead.
I must be crazy, but I was thinking that maps were supposed to help you find your way around, not get you even more lost. Specifically, why do some (most) dead-end streets look like they connect, on the 'map'?
Ok, so i've completed the Pipe mini-game 3x now, and no medal on the medal page. Completed the Pipe challenge, too, for no medal either. I know the trophy is not supposed to be obtained, but this is a bit much.
I'm having a heck of a time raising combat skills. I got Weapon Attack up to 601, no problem, but after that... nothing. Weapon Defense *slowly* goes up, now 627, when fighting Chaotics or Demons. Occasionally get Resist ups (~200), Mana Lore never goes up any more, even when casting (~100). Observation fortunately still goes up like normal (~550). Doesn't matter what I fight, when using bows or books/staves, Archery and Magic Attack never rise (5). Oh, haven't seen an Anatomy up in forever (~570). Looks like my 1000 combat skill will be Weapon Defense, but *man*, what a wait it'll be.
So... I have no idea, apparently how to keep/make a citizen happy, so they keep leaving. My houses seem to stay permanently at 0/8, even though occasionally they're in use. The job locations often end up at minus (absurd #). Sure, I can click on individual citizens, and wow, they're unhappy, but... so now what? I can't seem to be capable of doing anything about it. Anyway, on to some better explained game, I guess.
Final opinion: Either particle magnetism is too low/random, or friction is too high. Too often I've had particles decide to just stop and force a level repeat, rather than actually *touch* that particle 2-3 microns away...
Okay... so I had all my stuff 2 levels above sea level, and used Flood, and then the sea level went up 2 instead of 1? What happened there? Oh, and why did Unlocking x levels from 17 Easy force me to move on to Normal campaign? If I continue, I'm in Normal, if I try to pick Easy Campaign, it says I'll 'lose all progress'...? :(
For a game that judges me on my accuracy, the capacity to aim is truly lousy. Suicided on L33 for lack of a pause button. Do wish I could aim without having to move, but being able to shoot down enemy shots is a nice touch.
Was pretty unhappy about the various "get key/rune and *pray* you get out alive" rooms until I remembered that "c" warps you to the entrance/other gates... and saves your game, too. Makes the game much more fun, that way.
