Another great Conceptis puzzle game now on Kongregate! Remember, your 'pieces' have to be symmetrical, and that EVERY square on the grid will be part of a 'piece'.
Music in the levels is stolen from a much better game, "Anaksha: Female Assassin" that's on here. This is okay, but feels like Flaming Zombooka 2 with a different skin.
This is one of the more original logic puzzles I've seen in a while, glad to see Conceptis brought it to Kongregate! :) They have hints on how to solve these at: http://www.conceptispuzzles.com/index.aspx?uri=puzzle/nurikabe/techniques Very challenging brain busters! :)
Music is stolen from a much better game, "Anaksha: Female Assassin". This is okay, but feels like Zombooka or whatever with a different skin. 2.5/5 rounded down.
Wow, great game! Excellent graphics, good level of strategy, the interest is there, missions and arena (not live PvP, which ruins games), very well planned out! ...and then throttling gameplay with 'Energy' ruins it completely. As a Facebook game, fine, but on Kongregate that takes the fun out of games. 2/5 for ruining a great game with a bad idea.
Why is there a challenge such as 'Blow up 2 trucks' and not 1 truck shows up for it? Rethink some of the programming for these challenge stages please. ;) Good start for a game, 3/5
Great game, this is a lot of fun!! ...until the first dozen levels are over, buggy vehicles not exploding, not getting credit for completing challenges, and un-fun events like 'Here's a missile truck, DON'T drive it into traffic'. 3/5 for a great start, a shame it feels very unfinished.
Just a note to other commenters: This is supposed to be an easy set of puzzles, it says 'Light Vol 1' in the title. For people who've never seen a Hashi puzzle before, its a good introduction. If you want more, check out the Conceptis website or wait for Vol 2 :)
Conceptis comes to Kongregate? That's just full of 'win'! Let's see more of the excellent Conceptis logic puzzles here on Kong! The save times are a bit slow but since it is saving server-side so you can play on any computer, its forgiven. 4/5 for a great job!
My mother played breakout on an Atari 2600 in the late 70s. Making the paddle look like a cigarette is amusing, but you're still stuck playing a slow game that is over 30 years old, sorry. 1/5
A great premise! Very original ... but stumbles in the execution. Besides the often-noted balance issue, the controls are less responsive than is needed for a switching game. And why in the HELL do switching games 'reward' you with bonuses by blocking the view of the playing field?! lol 3/5 Could easily be a 4 or 5 star game with more testing and balancing.
TPenny, when every other game on Kongregate plays just fine, but this game lags on the lowest quality setting, blaming the computer is a sign of brain death. ;) Why would anyone pay hundreds of dollars to play casual flash games when they could by an XBox for half that? Meanwhile, 1/5 validated by numerous lag complaints.
Put target on enemy, check. Click mouse button, check. Gunfire sound, check. No hit registers. Fail. (Later) Listen for firing pattern, raise up, fire shots, duck down, game doesn't process in time, player dies. Fail. Game rating: Fail.
Terrible game. So overloaded on graphics that the lag ruins all of the speed and accuracy expectations. Next time, target your audience - add more graphics and put it on XBox Live, or tone it done for the Flash crowd. (Only an idiot would say 'upgrade your computer', by the way, this is casual gaming - if you have to pay for gaming, you go to a console, obviously)
Another zombie game, huh? -3 hours later- WOW! That was a blast! I got 3 endings (are there more?) and had a great time playing it. Kudos for an excellent game, 4.5/5 only because its a bit limited, but I'll be playing this again! :)
I've turned all the settings as low as they'll go, and this still lags massively. Why? I don't lag on other Kong games, this is the 'fun, simple Bubble Tank game' - except it is SO bogged down with no change from 'move to bubble, shoot everything, repeat' that the complexity doesn't make the game better. 2/5 for dressing up the same game with slowdown features.
