Okay, so after beating the two maps (on the official site) with several of the teams, including the French (arguably the hardest team to start with), on insane, I honestly think you need to buff up the difficulty. Enemies hardly expand. The furthest I've seen is the Turks on a lucky streak having 11 territories on the turn I won with around 45/36 victory points. Not really a challenge for insane. Maybe for medium, or easy. Make them more aggressive, especially in the beginning. If I can take territories, so can they.
I've played on the official website (I believe), but even after creating a Mochi account, I'm unable to save my game (yes, it says I'm logged in). The save game button doesn't even work any more. I understand this may not be the place to ask, but I like the game, and I don't want to be forced to play an entire campaign in one sitting.
For some reason I start off with 31 upgrade points, but can't upgrade three out of four of them. The fourth can be upgraded to level NaN for undefined upgrade points. What's up?
Detailed walkthrough for the 75-skulls achievement on level 5 (Delhi), please. I take items with the lowest strength and highest HP, but even then the buildings go down like butter and almost no people spawn.
Sorry, I forgot to say it's the fourth Gaul mission, against the boars (the latter I did say, though). You don't get any reinforcements, extra money, or what-not. The boars are getting stronger and stronger, you can't get any money since your workers get killed off almost immediately, and there are no real weapons available against them. The biggest problem is that you're supposed to "catch" the alpha boar, but I'm not really getting what they mean. Damaging it doesn't damage their base, so nothing really happens and I just get slaughtered.
Surely I'm missing something? I'm on mission four with all units at maximum upgrades and I just get slaughtered. I do not have any money, since my workers get killed immediately. My men can't do anything against boars. I'm probably supposed to hit the boss guy, but the damage he takes is minimal.
Games like these are about playing a game, checking out whatever the AI does, then copying HIS EVERY MOVE. That's not really fun. The AI is perfect in every way and there's no learning curve at all.
Please .. fix how the keys work. I don't want to have to bash the shift key five times before it jumps. Without pressing any other keys at that moment. Also, it randomly decides that pressing a key is holding it (effectively killing you in many games), and that certain keys together don't work.
Masochist: Repeat every level 100 times to farm gold and experience, levelling all your weapons and best perks, buying the toughest armour before moving on. It's more of a joke mode, where everyone knows all you are going to do is farm, because a single "mistake" means bye-bye save. I quit after having a boring minute-long fight in zone 4 where the melee enemies have hundreds of HP.
Still bugs in the game. It freezes on you when you do valley of death and do both level up plus weapon level up at the same time. Not sure what the real trigger is, but that's what happened.
How is it any fun to view a battle as a video? As in, they stun both my teammembers on the first round, and basically from there it's just them pouncing on me until I'm dead.
My commander is invisible. I have no idea how this will influence me if they start attacking (since I didn't lose yet), but it does make it impossible for me to edit my deck, for some reason.
What? Some things really don't make sense. Why does an attacker with 4 attack get destroyed and deal 0 damage to the opponent when the opponent's monster only has 2 defense? And, uhm, since there's no way to gain cards at all, it seems entirely luck-based. I was completely destroyed in the first level due to the opponent getting heavy damage cards and naturally always living through its insanity.
Please make it less of a requirement to farm. A ninja goblin dealing 50 damage a turn isn't quite enjoyable, and it's not as if you can avoid him .. ON LEVEL 5. I've farmed the four levels before it for quite a bit and I still get killed within a few hits. Don't tell me to use the luck-based do-not-hit-so-often-but-might-just-deal-more-damage attacks, since on average you shouldn't have to farm at all to win.
