I can't play this game anymore. The whole firing arc sounds like a good thing at first, but anybody with any intelligence and/or survival instinct would turn and fire on an incoming threat. They wouldn't just stand there and get eaten.
Great game! Second one of the series that I didn't need a walkthrough for, yet still challenging enough for me to consider it... 5/5. My only gripe, is "dimension" is spelled wrong. Before anybody b!tches about spelling nazis, consider that a game this good should be as professional as possible and that includes spelling things correctly...
After playing the first level, I was reminded of a game I rediscovered today; a much better version of this on Kongregate called Doeo. Check it out, it's freaking crazy!
WHAT YELLOW BAR?!?!?! It sucks when on day 25, all of your adventurers decide to say "Ah fnck it..." and just leave because they just don't know where to go and lack the motivation to try. I originally voted this game up, but after watching two 15th level characters not make it to level 15 (which was available on day 23), my score for this game goes down. You would thing that high level characters would be motivated by something other than $$$. Vote my comment down if you want, you can't vote my rating down...
Good so far, but when I die, should I respawn in combat mode? And why not have a border change or something to let me know which mode I am in? funniest moment so far was when I ordered a strike on a tank just before I got hit with one of their mortars; the mortar bounced me up hill just in time to be directly under the strike. So I die (for the first time) and wonder why I didn't come out shooting instead of scrolling...
While I agree that there is a genre of post apocalyptic games, this one really does borrow from the fallout GUI a little bit more than coincidentally. Anyways, there needs to be some sort of friend-or-foe recognition system in place; ie red glow around allies and green around enemies when it is the players turn. Items would be nice too. Also, 9mm is a tiny round. Especially when you're dealing with bear sized creatures. Make it a .600 Nitro Express Magnum (yes, it's a real gun - google it) and it would be a better game just on principle.
@xDarkVRedx - I should be able to steer while accelerating and shooting. There's no animation for honking the horn. I think it's just an issue of not being able to process more than 2 inputs simultaneously. i.e You can't steer if you are accelerating and honking. If you let off the horn, even if you are holding a steering key down, you have to let off of it and press it again to steer.
