Ok, so I "ran out of time" on level 1. How on earth am I supposed to get to level 2?
Also, regardless of how I lose I still get the same score: 25 points.
This is stupid.
I managed to finish, which gives it a rating higher than I gave Meat Boy, however, it was _very_ random. Several of my jumps and runs were leaps of faith, hoping that no rain would kill me. Meat Boy at least had predictable outcomes (even if the acceleration/deceleration of the character was something you had to fight against).
I also got to wondering just what level (of 20) I was on.
JUST IN FROM THE DEVELOPER: You can swap actions on the "track" by dragging a ready one (the buttons) onto the bar, as long as the new action is the same size or smaller (eg, a 2s action can replace any other 2s action or longer).
I wish there was some kind of actual tactics from the action bar. But as it stands, if I see my opponent perform one action I _cannot_ get an action in before it goes off, basically meaning I might as well not know what they're doing at all and not have a 3 second delay on all actions (the action bar).
I also wish I could mouse-over the status effects and know, what, exactly they mean ("oh, it has the evasion symbol. How much more evasion is it worth?).
I enjoyed this game, it was simple and had numerous solutions for puzzles. Some I bashed through, some I finessed, but I had fun. I wish it was longer and had more varied puzzles. It could also use a level editor, but I realize that those are rather complicated to create; much more so than making levels that aren't based around an editor system. I also wish I could have multiple connection points so I could create grabber claws and other things.
I figured out why Seijaku was doing better in terms of multiplier and height, but not score. In order to get points you have to land on certain platforms, which is unintuitive. Height should equal Score, but it doesn't. It's arbitrary and random. I picked up some tree-digit number worth points on one level then nabbed another 30 right when I died (the little plaque must have been under the lava where I fell) scoring a total of 760.
...server side verification ever _every mouse click?_ No f-ing wonder it errors out so much, I can't even click on a map location without getting a "waiting for server" gear.
I don't get the "reach the top" section, as it never seems to end: I can't win and I can't lose, it just keeps going. There's no indication of "how much farther" I need to go or anything that indicates I'm making or losing progress.
This game sucked ass. Did anyone else notice that you can cast spells for free? Makes any non-boss level trivial: mouse over to the enemy base, 1, click, 2, click, 3, click, 4, click, 5, click, 6, click. Dead. Yes. That's right. Dump all 6 damage spells on their starting location.
