They aren't ghosts, they're thieves. They can be killed, and the waves stopped coming because you hit the monster cap (which rises with level). Eventually they'd have killed you.
Also, I know that the graphics aren't complete. I don't have art for those particular assets yet as this was a last minute "I can port this" from the game I'm working on to the Stride contest rules.
Not enough gold or wood available to make use of the higher level troops. I found myself constantly starved for those two resources, so I stopped upgrading buildings and stopped buying more expensive troops and still had shortages (but had HUGE amounts of stone and iron).
Had a squad of 40+ knights walk offscreen and vanish into nothing. Not cool.
Also had a group of enemies at the top of the screen get past my units, so I spawned more....which all spawned at the very bottom and ignored the enemies. Nearly lost that level.
Flashing lines in the background are distracting. First enemy spawned ball spawned in the center of the screen (I was not aware that this was going to happen) and took my first life from me.
Particles was better.
Game starts before I had finished reading the instructions and lost some life because of it.
In either case, this is a rhythm game lacking the music element. And FYI, rhythm games are overdone and not done well.
Ok, had to read the instructions for the fourth damn time to figure out how to use the acorns. Not. Intuitive. At. All.
Also, your ingame instructions screens were UNGODLY hard to read. I skipped them, so I have no bloody clue what any of the items do.
