Sand Traps aren't water traps.
Tunnels give no indication which one leads where, giving the player 1/n chances of getting the right one on the first shot.
Ok, what the? I typed my other comment, come back and notice that my score of 1250 (which was hardly anything of the song) unlocked the next one.
Like, no challenge...
It's ok, but not great. It was so zippy I had significant trouble telling the ship where exactly I wanted to go.
And is it me, or do the thrust and turn actions have a burst-rest-burst period like the shots?
I wish this was better, but it's too slow and takes too long to put the best choice bits in. It's far easier to stall the computer out of moves than it is to block it.
I like the new powerups and the random "all you can eat" levels.
I'd like to see the multipliers tracked in the Kongregate high scores. I've been playing again and again to see how high I can get the bonus multiplier (haven't much paid attention to the tail one) and wish I could track it.
My next step is to increase the frame rate (it's currently set to attempt 16 FPS--decided due to my hardware and my friend's hardware, it lagged considerably at anything higher) and to make more levels.
Believe it or not, but people do lose!
Thanks for that, PTGMach. In my current version I've restricted the mouse and it's much less unplayable. My nest step will be to separate the perma-paddle code out so that it is an *option*. Click-mode will have less restrictions on mouse movement than paddle-mode.
I'll be uploading it sometime next month, possibly later depending on if my Digital Audio class will teach me what I need to know to make sounds/music for this game.
Due to the human eye not being able to tell when a color is pure or just "nearly pure" (I dare someone to see a difference between 254,0,0 and 255,0,0 when they aren't next to each other: and some people can't even tell when they are). Needs some kind of "closeness bar" that would indicate in a linear fassion how close one is to the object.
The "again" button should be in different locations dependant on the level. For level 2 it cut of a short section of the maze and on level 4 it meand that I could win without doing the maze at all.
