I managed to beat the game. It was all fairly easy until the last level. WHAT IN THE F@CK WAS UP WITH THAT LAST LEVEL, it is insanely hard. The two blue birds take an eternity to kill and are quite literally impossible to dodge. A single blue bird is harder than all phases of the last boss. And thats if you can single out the enemies...............my bullets are deleted when they hit the end of the screen. This is annoying and makes the large missiles weaker......... Some enemies have way to much health, with basic enemies taking minutes to kill.........The character is a huge fatty. His hitbox needs to be massively reduced. Especially when ducking. It is quite literally impossible to dodge some attacks..........The jump is too high. The jump is so high it is hard to control your trajectory and as such you get hit. Maybe I jump higher if I hold the Jump button it would work out
Very impressive and very challenging. Things move so fast you basically have to memorize the timing. By the time I look at one piece the reciprocal part has already moved. Some might hate this, but others might love it.
A very fun game with neat mechanics...............One mechanic that just does not work is the "money totem". It is hard to balance but I didn't like it because it forces the player to go all out on infantry to steal money from enemies. As a result I got frustrated when archers stole my skeleton's kills and as a result I didn't have the money I needed.........Likewise I HATE eagles. I never understood why developers put flying enemies in because they are horrible and ruins my layout.
I got to level 37.........Really wanted to like this game, but the timing is too finicky. The game is so precise that if you are off by a millisecond you instantly lose. When the dot is near a tight corner the amount of time you have to hold down the z key is way too precise. It is basically random. Likewise the levels that were the most fun where the levels where you had wide corners since they allow for actual skill.
This game was awesome. Well, more the really well thought out storyline, interesting characters, and unique hook..................The puzzle system is simple and intuitive and could be used to make hard puzzles. But given that each puzzle room is so simplistic it isn't a puzzle game really. Every puzzle is so insanely easy it only took me 6 seconds tops to beat every one. But it was a concession to have every puzzle room be the same through every play-through (which is actually really damn impressive).................Kudos on this awesome game.
Pfffft, the ninja is yellow. Super racist yo...........Stupid jokes aside, this was a cool game with great puzzles that work well and make sense. I don't know if it is my computer or what but the game would lag out like crazy when trying to do even basic jumping which quintupled my time. Still, very fun......And the graphics are cool too.
Pro Tip:
The best build is to have a bunch of guns on the right and a bunch of shields/engines/etc on the left. And then have the ship push constantly to the right.
This reduces your surface area to enemy fire while still exposing all of your offensive surface area. It even limits how many boss guns will be in range of your ship.
Don't equip any mining blocks for the level boss. If you miss any items don't worry. After killing the last boss, they give you all the missing items.
Good stuff. I really enjoyed building my ship and seeing it destroy and collect everything in sight................But I think the buying menu is glitched. In my first run through I had tons of healers and radar dishes, but could never re-buy mining blocks so I got kinda stuck. But in my second run I had tons of mining blocks and no healing or radar dishes. This is not cool dude..........The very last level is crazy hard. But ONLY because my missiles would go to a single target. If the missiles would just switch to the next enemy it would have been a fair fight rather than total bull..........I like how my ship got bigger, but it would have been cooler if the camera panned out so my screen wouldn't be overwhelmed with nothing but my ship........I wish the ship building had some strategy. There was very little of it and as a my ship was kinda randomly built.
Another awesome game. The gameplay mechanics work out very well and the ways in which you can use ice to advance is very clever. And turning the whole screen to ice at the end of a level is very satisfying.........For some reason I get heavy slowdown. This made later levels that demand very precise movement very frustrating........That last boss was cool.
Last level advice.
Have the first 3 rows be all ice panels. Then have a row of walls (when you get money replace them with knights) and have all the other rows be full of archers. The archers are great for killing the exploding guys and ghosts. The first archers you place should be way in the back so they can be more selective in shooting fast targets (slow targets will get frozen and clump up).............Fastest way to kill dragons is ice ball then fire ball then quickly use cannon, shotgun and a few arrows...........If a few ghosts get near the castle wall don't be afraid to bust out the lightning.
The arrow/shotgun/cannon mix is awesome. Fun to switch between them frequently and tactically. Same goes for the fire/ice combo. A fun way to deal massive damage................ I am not a big fan of the little exploders or ghosts. Most of the enemies bunch up so AOE is the way to go but these single units take a long time to kill and have to be killed all by themselves. This forced me to get a row 4 deep of archers.
A very fun game...... Fairly easy all the way up until the last level which kicked my teeth in. But in a good way. Sadly most of the challenge came from the fact that the game is so blistering fast that I didn't have time to set up my defenses....... At first I thought the heal spell would heal all my guys. The fact that it has such a long wind-up and such a long cool-down means that it is very impractical and I was never able to use it that often. And even maxed out it doesn't fully heal and I can never tell which walls need fixing since they never repair visually.......... I like how there is only one type of air unit. The dragon. Way to often games have too many air or gimicky units and it takes away from the focus of the game (ground combat)........ I don't know how the pit traps work but they couldn't kill skeletons or goblins even when maxed out.........And it simply must be said. Only one loading screen. An easy to forget but great addition to the game.
A fun game with a nice premise, but there are some serious flaws...........There is virtually no time to collect money crates at the end of a level, which basically negates the good feeling and money you get for beating a wave..............It seems like the enemies level based on my gun level. TERRIBLE IDEA. Oh my god, that is a terrible idea. What you should do is have it so enemies get harder after you beat each wave............Once levels get past 100 zombies the game starts to get repetitive and causes massive CPU slowdown..................Zombies should never spawn on top of me. Never. And they especially shouldn't gravitate towards me..............The gun upgrading system looks very cool when the gun is modified.
This was an awesome game. The graphics are nice, I can get around the limit cap by moving water around between clouds (no more than 1000 water is displayed in a cloud) and the difficulty works out well.
If only the game were longer.
You figured out the strategy we call "cloud juggling". Well done!
