I love it, but I do wish after something just spent all that time recharging from 0 to 100, that it started with SOMETHING. I assumed after my laser said "Recharging, 100%" that it would be full, not empty.
@Pozirk - well, his kids and dog just got killed by alien invaders because his useless satellite was eating up CPU Earth could have been using to field defenses that actually worked :P AND he got blown up anyway because he was in a terrible old gunpowder based unarmored fixed-orbit hunk of junk. He just refused to die until it was too late to save his family... or the rest of the planet. Selfish pilot ._. I know there's a self-destruct button on those satellites, I've seen bad spy movies!
When will devs realize that in a game that takes BOTH hands on the keyboard, not having to switch to the mouse between every level is easily worth a full star?
it's got over a 4-star rating but the dev has announced it's not good enough to bother with, so there's no players. If the dev doesn't want people to play it, might as well not play it. Some kind of tutorial or something might be nice, but then, the dev doesn't want us to play...
@WLBjork - did you actually use the upgrade on the lairs in game? The upgrades for a creature type appear around the food for that creature type. Mine are working fine.
The bad guy spawning could use some work... when I knew two baddies were coming down a hallway, I mined the hallway.... then got attacked from the sealed room I just left when they died to the mine. The room I with no other doors but the one I walked out.
We don't even need the ability to "sell" the units we don't want any more (although it makes sense to get part of the scrap back), just let us blow them up so we can build different ones. I'm researching Hyperdrives now and still have several of the first satellites you can get orbiting my innermost orbit T_T
:) Imagine, that there is a pilot in each such satellite, and this pilot has a family, kids, maybe a dog... And you just want to blow him! How could you? :)
I was able to play this game fine before it was badged. Now it keeps telling me to update my Flash Player. (I stopped updating Flash Player when I heard about it deleting save games every time you clear your cookies - my cookie settings are pretty restricted) - why did it suddenly become incompatible when badged?
FlashFist - likely it's not that you run slower, it's that you run realistically. Most gamers are used to an effect called "double chording" that allows you to run faster than normal by moving two directions at once. The game lets you move at full speed in each of the two directions, giving you a 41% increase in ground covered. I'm guessing rather than adding your two speeds together, this game just lets you move your normal speed.
Sometimes my teammates will be right at the edge of the screen during a pass attempt, and it'll say I missed them when it was heading right for them - it counts it as off-screen before it hits the player there.
Desmer - in the sniper missions, aim for the feet. They're the unit's center. For vehicles, go for the middle/driver. And yes, the sniper tower kills everything hard.
freezes when I beat the boss (I'm guessing it's the boss, anyway, it's pretty big, shoots lots of bubbles, takes a ton of damage to kill, has a death animation) part way through his death animation, also, can't quit and then continue to see if it'll unfreeze. I can still move, but time stops passing - bad guys don't move, my guns don't recharge, no one's shots move, I don't get hurt for flying into enemy shots, I can't collect bubbles. Even does it when I drop everything to minimums (low, slow, off, off, etc), even though this computer plays it fine at highest.
in honor of the spiders that are also awesome, even though they don't spin webs, I present: http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lwjmezi2bR1qdlh1io1_400.gif
