What this game DESPERATELY needs (besides a mute button) is a "test" mode in which you can selectively turn on and off inputs and watch the signal flow, instead of just hoping to figure something out as the verification test speeds on by...
Fun game, although I was a little disappointed that the sprinkler didn't have fun side effects, like extinguishing the burning dudes or amplifying the effects of the electric fence.
Is there no way to take tacos from the "queue" to build them in the order you want? "Uh oh, this beef cooked before the chicken taco I want to serve now ... guess I'll just throw it out then."
The single worst "feature" inexplicably shared by every game of this genre is instantly disappearing loot. Sadly, this game is no different. Everything else is phenomenally executed, though.
I had more trouble figuring out which tracks some of the badges are referring to than finishing the badges themselves ... need actual track names in-game, or track numbers in the badge descriptions. >_>
I like how there's a better chance of placing my condiments correctly if I drop them from the ceiling than if I carefully put them on top of the burger
It would be nice to have an experience bonus for completing each level; it sometimes feels like I'm being penalized for finishing too quickly without grinding through more enemies...
Normal combat finally started getting fun around the point that I had all the upgrades I needed. Then the boss is just frustratingly difficult, zero strategy and just exchanging blows and hoping to come out on top. Poor pacing and balance really sapped a lot of the fun for me. Aaaand I beat the game, unlock a new ship, and ... get to start everything from scratch. Yay?
The early game design and quest progression needs some serious overhaul. Dig some ores, talk to the dude, then the other dude, buy the chasis (sic) upgrade he asks me to ... and suddenly I'm completely broke and spending literally every penny on partial battery refills to try and uncover more ores. The temperature gauge should be explained earlier, along with the fact that traveling cleared areas still saps your battery for some inane reason. A few repairs and one rescue team later and I'm stuck in a horrible loop of mining for energy to keep mining without any progress at all. I had to start from a new save (which, btw, there should probably some kind of status information on the robot select screen, and the option to delete). The game was otherwise okay, but the slow-moving robot and early imbalance issues made it much too frustrating to keep going for long. A few tweaks could fix that, I would think.
The part you click on will change to the part under the circle, so you can manipulate the transformation of the images as you play, should you choose to. Nice touch!
When I first played this game years ago, I was totally lost. Now, after playing EVE Online, it suddenly makes sense, haha!
My main complaint, however is the same now as it was then -- WHERE IS THE MUTE BUTTON?
