Pretty fun, but becomes too chaotic. There's really not much strategy to this, since everything happens so fast. You win most levels really easy by just trying to conquer as many free cells as possible, then you just target/overrun the enemy cells.
It's a nice concept and cool puzzle game for the first 10-15 levels, but then it becomes way to tedious and apparently there are 31 levels... I don't even feel like finishing it using a walk-through, it's just too boring after a while.
While the game is pretty well done and aged for its time, it has some bugs and the balance is really bad at times. Sometimes you simply overrun the opponent and sometimes you stand no chance. Also the game is way to penalizing. I'm trying to complete just the quest where I need 150 points... I managed to get to 100, then I lost a few and I'm back to 87 and pretty much 0 in coins... A game needs a reward in order to keep the player interested. Unless you are a mayor CCG-fan this game won't cut it. Way too much grinding for very little reward.
Quite simple concept and somewhat interesting twist on an already tried idea with these block puzzles with movement restrictions. I kind of wish it would end though... I assume I'm approaching the last level. I'm at the one where 3 targets are in the middle and I have 3 blue and 9 red blocks. After taking some time to finish the previous level, I expected that to be the last one, but now I don't feel like playing any more since I expect this one to take equal amount of time and I feel no big reward by finishing. A decent game but not fun after a while, so 3/5 rating from me.
I like the concept and graphics of the game, but the crafting part becomes quite dull and monotonous quickly. Only step that I pretty much don't 100 % every time is the construction part. Some steps are just a chore and take time, which isn't good for a game where the main part is about the crafting process.
For those having trouble with entering the star system symbols: Note that there are several different star systems to click (red circles) and they have different symbols. Find the one corresponding to our solar system.
Took 93 in-game days to reach the core and the medium badge... probably around 2-3 hours game time being focused etc. That's way too long for a medium badge, especially when the game is so grindy and slow progress. With some luck I could probably have finished a bit earlier but still, gaming is about having fun and giving some reward so the player feel the progress and getting stronger, not forcing grinding to elongate the time spent on the game.
Pretty fun concept but very fiddly controls and jumping makes no sense. I got pretty many points in both speed and diving and I'm not even close to the UFOs. And this is only on wave 19... holy crap there are 50! After some grinding I managed to reach 15 achievements at least, so badge gotten.
The item usage is very unresponsive. I tried some things with items that had me get stuck, only to find out in a walk-through I was doing the right thing and I tried again and suddenly it worked... I can't say I enjoyed the game as a game, but the story was put some effort into, even though it was very weird. The game part mainly became a clicking-fest of trial-and-error. Sometimes clicking something worked, sometime not, so it wasn't a very fun experience unfortunately.
So much text and dialouge... not fun at all. Nice effort in terms of graphics and story etc., but it's far too much text and you never get a good sense of what the real point of helping the various people with work does, except increase stats. Without "GoStampsGo"'s walkthrough and the badge that followed, I would have went on with another game within a minute or two. I'm sure the story of this game could be made into some new "Lost" TV-series, but as a game it's not fun at all. I skipped most of the text since I'm not here to read a novel. Wish I saw that you could use ESC to skip more text at once right away though.
A pretty funny story and obviously quite a lot of work put into the game, but it's nothing I feel like I want to continue playing after a few stages. There's no sense of reward and progress. It's too much of a brawler and the variety and breakage of weapons has a downside; you can't stick to a favourite weapon. You can upgrade certain weapon types, but for me it's too much repetitive combat that you don't have control over because of all variations and hard to hit spots that enemies are in. Punching kind of stunlock, which doesn't exactly make the combat more interesting; it just takes time and button mashing. Most weapons I found, are much weaker than I expected. Punching seems to do more damage and is more reliable than guns. The challenges and stages overall feel like they are too long, especially if you replay them. Some graphics blend into the environment. Can't give more than 3 stars, and most of that is from the effort since I can't say that I'm enjoying the game unfortunately.
It quickly just becomes a guessing game, since many combinations aren't logical and some lead to the same elements. Like many said before, it would be a huge improvement to not let previously combined elements happen again and at least give some form of indication that you already tried a combination before. It's a somewhat cool concept otherwise, but it just isn't enjoyable. Only reason not quitting after a few mins is to complete the badge.
No big idea to complain about a game from 2009 that probably won't ever get updated again, but there are so many flaws and missing features in this game. Slow battle, no auto battle, missing hits is huge part game, extreme difficulty curve where you stand no chance, no explanations of what things actually affect the gameplay, shop completely useless except for selling. You also need luck to get the right stats, like constitution because otherwise you always die unless extreme luck on missing hits. Even overplaying a bit and with 100 in most skills useful I'm having trouble with Elite Skeletons. The stress system isn't a feature adding to the game either. OK with weeks/turns etc. and some kind of action point system but getting stressed out so quickly from just moving around in a dungeon... that's bad. The game has a somewhat fun and good concept in the bottom but the execution and lack of essential features brings it down to 2 stars for me.
Crashed after first completing, but I did actually accidentily click, perhaps on the reset button after completion, so perhaps that's why. It shouldn't be possible though, so that's a bug. Worst part about this is that I had to restart from first level. Since the game was rather short, I did all levels again and made sure I didn't touch anything after last level and got the badge. Disregarding all that, the game isn't that fun. Somewhat interesting concept, but very fiddly controls and no challenge curve at all. Last level is easy but a bit tedious because of the controls.
The picking of answers in debates seems pretty error prone. I tried using both keyboard and mouse, but even selecting the correct answer graphically it registers as wrong answer some times. Especially using keyboard. Also I completed the game but haven't received the badge from what I can see. Perhaps it's a chrome issue though?
Funny story and all, but the music/sound was so damn loud, even with lowest volume possible on windows on headphones. Didn't find the options to turn it down until I had finished the game.
While the concept is pretty nice, it's a very unbalanced and unfinished game. Also there's no use for gold later, and the science points don't add up fast enough at later stages of the game. The chance for mutation at tier 8+ seems abysmally low. Really no idea why kongregate promotes this game so hard when it's not finished.
Funny game but it froze when first entering the rabbit boss, no dialog appeared and I had to refresh. After that the rabbit boss started and later when it was finished and the kid looks like he is about to say something, it froze again. I did get the badge just before that though. Pretty fun game otherwise.
