Satrevi, I'm 3o years old and remember Ninteno very well. I remember loving it, but I didn't have one myself. I played at friends' houses whenever I could, but I didn't get much enjoyment out of games that required hours of playing to learn the levels and to perfect the technique required to complete them. I'd argue that any of us who are old enough to remember those days are too old to be spending 5 hours replaying an online game over and over again just to beat the first level boss.
Well, that's it for me. An hour and 15 minutes to get to the first boss (on normal). I finally make it to the boss and I lose my two remaining lives in the span of about 30 seconds. Now I have to do 1_19 over again? No thank you.
Man, this game is hard. I'm pretty good with most games, but this is just too much. I'm giving it a 3/5 just because it's functional and has a nice look to it. It's got potential, but it's way too hard right now. I can appreciate making a game difficult to make someone work for the reward, but this is so difficult that most people aren't going to put in the effort necessary to beat it. And by "it" I mean the first level. I've just now passed the first purple checkpoint but I keep dying in the long jumping sections immediately afterward and I'm terrified of the possibility that upon finally clearing those sections I'll lose all my lives before reaching another purple checkpoint...
I second what Dreagon said. Also, my first country had an "A" at the beginning. The word was "Comoros". Having the wrong letter up there to begin with almost cost me the game.
Wasteland, you right click on the black screen and all you get is "movie not loaded" and "about Flash player". Ally, I'm hesitant to reinstall my browser, though I did see where Google has released a new beta version of Chrome. Also, I see in your profile that you're only 16, but you might want to be careful about using the abbreviation "atm" in certain circles.
It sure seems like the black screen is a relatively widespread problem. I have a hard time believing it's my computer when (a) it was working fine before, (b) it works fine on ArmorGames, and (c) I'm not having similar problems with any other games I've tried on Kong since I started getting the black screen.
Mine was working fine with XP in Chrome & Firefox. Now it's not with either. I've restarted the system and reinstalled flash. It's working or ArmorGames, though...
*sigh* Power went out here. Game was up. Turned computer back on, now I'm getting the black screen, too. And neither refreshing nor closing & reopening is fixing it.
Heheheh. Sponge, is it more fun than playing something DIFFERENT, though? :) RickBob, I haven't played Halo 3 yet -- no 360. My point was this: If you believe this game offers nothing new over the original, that's fine. If you think that, though, then your rating shouldn't be much different. Anyone who rated the first one a 4 or 5 shouldn't rate this any lower than 3 or 4. Shouldn't we give sequels a little bit of a break with regards to originality? You can't change it too much or it won't feel like a sequel.
Well, Sponge, I guess the question now is how much more time and energy are you going to devote to trashing the game when you could be playing something you enjoy more? I personally have never spent time arguing about how BAD a game is. It's not worth it.
