Having played this at Armorgames, I think the signs' descriptions are just glitches. There are differences in the actual slopes. Another glitch (one I noticed on both sites) is that often my first trick isn't recognized by the game.
Just average, IMHO. I can tell that the game took some work, but the physics are less boat-on-water and more car-on-land. And the zig-zag track is both uninspired and not a closed circuit, so counting laps is really pretty silly. Also, I think the track edges should be more visible. Apart from that it is a functioning game with a fairly unique 3D-looking graphics style, so that gets you points. But only 2/5. Sorry. I've played it twice and I think I've got the hang of the proper steering technique, but I've lost any interest in trying it out again.
You know those "magic eye" 3D posters? Well, my little trick to finding all the differences in these games is to kind of do the same thing with my eyes. I find a way to focus on the overlap of the two pictures. Most of it's in perfect focus, but I see a sort of ghost image where there are differences. If it's a color difference then it's like my brain can' decide which color it's seeing and almost flashes between the two. If you use this method the hardest part of these games is focusing on the pictures.
lol @Plunkett...You know, I didn't have this problem, but I have played the first one. This game DOES need better instructions. "Mouse to move and fire cannon" doesn't cut the mustard. It doesn't address the upgrades at all! Still fun, though. 4/5
I agree, YaGames. It seems to me the actual developers would post it if they wanted it posted. And if not them, it seems like Armorgames would be next in line to do it.
Umm...Decent mechanics and graphics, I suppose, but I found the gameplay sorely lacking. And IS this stolen? "Someone at Addictinggames gave it to me." Really? Because it seems like the only ones who could "give" it to you would be either Sun Studios or Armorgames, seeing as they're the only ones credited in-game.
I'm really enjoying this game. My biggestgripe is that evolution seems almost entirely random. Sure, generally speaking the more growth hexes I have the more spawn/mutate options I get when evolving. But -- I saved a game after gaining a level. I evolved and got 1 spawn and 1 mutate. I reloaded, evolved and got 5 spawns and 1 mutate. Why the difference? There was nothing different at the evoltion time.
And while I love the game, I agree that there needs to be a continue button at every game over screen. And I also think there should be a way to fully reset the game. I think the game's great but now I can't show anyone!
I really wish I played this one prior to playing Book of Dread. This one's good, but the improvements in inventory control & availability of a shop BoD are substantial and noticeably absent here.
