On the contrary, pizza, it's Google Chrome that decided to stop supporting Unity... yet another reason to hate Google (as if there weren't enough already).
Do you really think it's a good idea to tell players who get close to the end to screw themselves, especially given how the game screws you left right and centre? Screw this game. I'm done.
OK, the text from the "while you were gone" window works fine, as does the name of the mineral and level number... why not do the rest of the game text the same way so we can actually see it?
Great! On top of that, this game caused my computer to blue screen and do an immediate hard reset for the first time in months. Well done, guys (slow sarcastic clap)... 1/5 just for that. I only wish it was possible to give games a negative ranking.
Is it even possible to win a single battle in this game??? No matter how much I upgrade my skills, at best I can stalemate in the first 2 attacks and then I get slaughtered. If it makes any difference, I'm playing as a member of the Great Sea clan. Definitely not the best choice of games for the BOTD...
I'm not sure what your point is in posting that, funciona. If this truly is a 6 year old game and it lags this much now, just imagine how much worse the lag would have been back then! AG really needs to relearn how to code efficiently instead of just tossing out any old inefficient slop they want and waiting for the hardware to catch up. When I do upgrade my computer, it's not going to be just because I want to get a BOTD on Kongregate due to the incompetence of the programmers.
AG, do you even know how to make games that don't lag any more? I can't even remember the last time I had fun with one of your games because of the fake difficulty caused by controller lag.
Why do they keep badging these lagfests, to say nothing about making them games of the day? How can a game like this, much less a WHOLE FREAKING SERIES, RIGHT FROM GAME 1 UP UNTIL NOW, lag so freaking much? If it's due to the music being streamed from some site, here's a really simple solution... DON'T STREAM THE MUSIC! TRANSFER IT TO THE PLAYER'S COMPUTER *FIRST*, *THEN* PLAY THE SONG!!!!! So it'll take a few seconds before the song starts. So what? At least then it wouldn't lag right before you need to press a key until right after (the key you need to press teleporting itself right over the fret) making it impossible to get several times a minute. If you DO have all the music downloaded instead of streaming, then you seriously need to learn how to code efficiently instead of expecting your players to upgrade to the news, most expensive hardware to do your job for you.
Given that I'm currently at -27 popularity on my comment, it appears that a lot of people are unaware that Google Analytics is spyware. Well, what would you call something that collects Ad Views, Analytics, Browser Information, Cookie Data , Date/Time, Demographic Data, Hardware/Software Type, Interaction Data , Page Views , Serving Domains, IP Address, Search History, Location Based Data, Device ID and Phone Number? I'd call it spyware, wouldn't you? Source: http://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/
Well... that was easy. I only made a single evolution, and I'm not sure I even needed to do that to beat this. Definitely a "What the...?" moment at the end, though. I won't give any spoilers so everyone else will be able to experience the same effect.
Suggestions to the developer: 1) make the variables unsigned instead of signed. Then at least you can get up to 4 Billion before it breaks. 2) Make the variables floats instead of ints. 3) If you can, make the variables quads instead of doubles (ie. 64 but instead of 32). Current time to break the game: about 10 minutes. Time to break the game after these changes are implemented: probably never.
"Swarm Simulator, like many websites, uses Google Analytics to track actions you take while playing. We use this data to improve the game." Automatic 1/5 for this. It's bad enough when web pages use this spyware, but a flash game? Forget it! It's really too bad, too, as I was getting to enjoy this one, and no, I'm not going to install even MORE spyware with the Opt Out software from Google so that I can avoid this particular spyware. Instead, I'll just opt out of playing the game. You want to improve it? First thing you do is get rid of the Google spyware.
This game's been broken for a few days now. Hopefully whatever's causing this "no text" bug will be fixed soon. I've also seen this happen in Idle Mine EX 2, another Unity game, which kind of begs the question: Why is this even written in Unity, anyway? Unless there's some super phenomenally awesome something that happens in 3D after you get 1000 of everything or (hopefully) earlier, then using Unity for this is a waste. It's like using Unity for a game based on A. Square's Flatland, which, for the record has also been done and is on this site. What's the point? It's like using a Cray supercomputer because you want to play Pong.
I get the feeling that the programmers of this game and others like it absolutely loathe and despise manual transmission automobiles because they're not complicated enough. I find this mechanic so atrocious that I could barely make it to the easy badge without wanting to vomit. 1/5.
