Well, this game LOOKS absolutely gorgeous, and it's certainly different having sound in an Idle Mining game. I just wish that the text showed up. On all of the various option screens (crafting, money, etc.) I just get a bunch of empty boxes, and MAYBE half a line of text going vertically with a width of only 1 character. See "http://shawalphabetbooks.com/Kongregate/IdleMineEX2CraftingScreenMay16th2015.PNG". Can this be fixed, please?
I'm sorry, but I didn't have the stupidity required to work out the ridiculous solutions for many of these levels. This game seriously takes "wrong genre savvy" to a ridiculous extreme.
Holy crap, guys! Would it have killed you to say that you need the mouse to play the game, too, and that you need to need to point at what you want to interact with (eg. OPENING THE TRUNK, picking stuff up off the ground, going to the next area, attacking zombies, etc.)???
Um... when the game says "press E to search the trunk", shouldn't it actually search the trunk when you press E, or at least give some kind of sign that it's doing something, eg. some kid of animation, or at least some kind of text saying "Searching... nothing found" or SOMETHING?
Holy crap! I seriously geeked out when I heard the voice. Until I saw the actual voice actor in the end credits, I would have sworn that it was Tim Curry using his Doctor Anton Sevarius voice.
I remember playing this game way back when on the Apple ][ as Oils Well. Sure, the Apple ][ may have only had 6 colours in hires, clicks and beeps for sound, operated at only 1 MHz and had the difficulty ramped up to 11 (I don't think I ever made it past level 2 on that game, but made it up to 6 on here without really trying on my first attempt), but at least back then they never had any controller lag.
A tower defense game with all the ease of use of a tax simplification manual written by William Shakespeare. I'm not sure if I'll be continuing this now that I have the BOTD.
After getting the achievement, there isn't really much incentive to go on. How about adding more badges, eg. medium - max your level, hard/impossible - beat the creator (score more than 20 million points)?
Found a bug. At least I hope it's a bug... when I put my glasses on, it locked me into strafe mode for some reason. Are the glasses really so heavy that once you put them on, you can't even move your head???
I got dealt a Jack of Hearts and an Ace of Clubs, but it only counted as 11, not a Blackjack. Seriously, dude? Even worse, the dealer was dealt a 7S and 9D, then got a 5C for a soft 21 and somehow won. Back to the drawing board...
Best scores so far: Easy 10600, Normal 4400, Hard 2200. I got the hard score on my first play through. Even after at least 20 attempts, I found it hard even matching it and still can't beat it. Can you add the Kongregate high score API so we can see how we stand up against others?
Hey! I would love to, but I had trouble adding in the API, if I remake this game (which I would like to) then I will have another go, I'm glad you enjoy it though! :)
Wow... you can get the full version IF you have an Apple or Android mobile device. Why bother uploading it here if you're not going to make the full version available, or at least a full web version available on your site? Rated 1/5 for the "screw you" you're giving to all Kongregate players. Also, this game, or what little I can see of it here, can easily be done in 2d, so why use Unity at all?
Wow... I just beat the game on normal mode (the final boss has 3 incarnations there), but I just got slaughtered on Hard mode on level 1! I don't think I want to try Insane...
I don't seem to be able to beat 2200! :P
