Is Bonus level 1 even doable??? I've been working on it for 2 hours and it's the first puzzle in almost a decade where I've had to use any hints at all. Even after all that time, the closest I've gotten to solving it is 92414 for 20 across. I've checked through the puzzle and everything else appears to be exactly correct. Michael Mepham himself couldn't have devides a more torturous puzzle. I know there's a lot of people here who are listed as having completed every puzzle. I also know that hackers run pretty rampant on this site, so I really have my doubts about this one...
I like the look and the music's really cute, but the puzzle generation leaves a lot to be desired. There's not enough islands on each map, not enough hints to figure out where to start and each puzzle has multiple solutions, meaning that you can't work it out by logic alone. I found that I was just filling in things at random which would work OK at times, but others would leave me completely trapped. The is coming from someone with over 40 years of Kakuro experience, back in the day when it was only available in Dell Puzzle magazines and called Cross Sums. Sorry, dude, but I've got to give this 1/5 for the puzzle generation, bumped up to 2/5 for the appearance and the music.

nice music, but the number selection is a bit cumbersome. It would be a lot easier if we could type 1-9 on the keyboard instead of having to move the mouse over to the 3x3 grid all the time. 4/5
OK, then... I took a look at the best comments before leaving. Silly me, not realising that you can upgrade your creatures. It sure would have been nice to have been informed of that fact at some point in the tutorial. Game ranking increased from 1/5 to 4/5 (1 point off because of the insane amount of grinding needed).
Did I say get S Ranked Juliet? More like pass Jade Forest Level 2. I got the so-called "Easy" badge after 79 DAYS. Time to dump this piece of crap game and never look back.
OK... not only is 1.5.12.0 completely overloading Firefox to the point of it crashing before I can even click "Continue", but it's also freezing Opera multiple times a minute for 5-7 seconds at a stretch. *Sigh*... Is there any place where I can download a copy of 1.5.8.2? That was the final version which I could guarantee worked for me.
Very true. Kongregate did have a lot of problems last night. However, that doesn't change the fact that something has changed between versions 1.5.8.2 and 1.5.10.2 which causes my system to slow to a crawl and/or crash. It turns out I was mistaken about the browser, though... apparently Firefox did one of its silent updates to 36.0 without my realising it. It does kind of, sort of work in Opera 27.0, but it does freeze for about 5 seconds out of every minute there and the background's brightness fades in and out instead of the background moving there. Very odd.
OK, last update for now... After actually timing it, it's happening anywhere between every 11 and 14 seconds, depending on how much swapping it's doing with the hard drive. The standard time for the cut to black is 12 seconds, happening at least 70% of the time. If you have anything in your code which operates on a 12 second cycle, I suggest that you look for the bug there first.
OK, it doesn't always crash. When it doesn't, the screen goes black at least once every 5-10 seconds, forcing me to scroll so the window is completely off the screen and then scroll back. Hardly what I'd call a user friendly experience...
OK then... whatever you did to "fix" my reported problem now causes my browser to crash. Not only that, before it crashes, it spends a ridiculous amount of time swapping something on the hard drive (why should it even need to go to the hard drive at all?) Seriously dude... I originally rated this at 4 stars (-1 for the ridiculous amount of grinding needed later in the game... especially the idle grinding). While it's as buggy as it is now, I'm force to drop my rating down to a 1. Please, please, PLEASE, get this game fixed! It's definitely one of the more enjoyable games on Kongregate for me, but all these newly introduced bugs make it completely unplayable.
I don't know what you did with the latest update, dude, but the game has slowed to an absolute crawl, freezing and black screening a couple of times a minute, and hogging my system's resources. Please fix this. System: Windows XP SP2/3 hybrid, Firefox 35.0.1, 2GB RAM.
I didn't change anything about performance... Yesterday Kong has a lot of problems.
