Playing with graphic settings, whether everything is set to minimum or maximum only makes the difference between about 6 and about 7 fps and the game is jumpy and laggy and has mouse lag. This on a dual pentium @ 2.5ghz machine that can run multiple simultanous instances of WoW faster than this flash game. Something is very wrong here.
Music is good, combat sound effects are comically bad. Loading screens every 20 seconds of play s terribly annoying. Combined with lag...this game borders on unplayable however beautiful it may be. Something is obviously wrong with the lag, but in the interest of playability you might consider reducing graphic quality in exchange for better responsiveness and fewer loading screens.
Add a key to enter new areas immediately rather than compelling us to wait 5 seconds. If there is one, say so where you presently tell us to wait 5 seconds. Dialogue needs work. At present it's routinely unclear, has options that don't do anything and I've just been stopped by a dialogue prompt that has only a single option to "continue" and says nothing else when I select it.
Allow use of number keys to select dialogue options. Something desperately needs to be done about the mouse lag and lag in general. Game is using only ~40% of my cpu but is painfully jumpy. Fullscreen doesn't appear to work. Not sure I like that the camera doesn't follow my direction of movement.
Coin magnet appears to only attract coins that are far away. Once they get close they stop attracting. Also, rank 3 bullet quantity seems like a step backwards from rank 2.
Why is the guy being dropped off to run around scouting for things and the helicopter picking him up afterwards? Wouldn't it make more sense to scout in the helicopter?
The crafting interface really needs to remember what's beging crafted and auto-pickup crafted items when a new one is made. There's no reason for the interface to require us to go through FORTY mouseclicks to make 10 items.
In a lot of levels, getting perfects doesn't have anything to do with strategy. It's just a question of doing the "one correct thing" that makes you win in time.
Interesting concept, inadequate implementation. Game is sluggish and dull. Not enough upgrades. No story or incentive. Game is too simple. Not really enough thought went into it. It's very good first game...a lot could be done with it...but it's just not fun for than a few minutes.
Getting to Mars is very tedious. It's like 10-15 minutes of keeping your finger on the brakes. Apparently space is roughly as cluttered as the freeway during rush hour.
Gets a bit grindy towards the end. I'm finding myself deliberately NOT beating levels so I can repeat them a bunch of time for gold so I can beat the tougher levels. If you beat the easy levels without farming them, the tough levels with bosses take a LOT longer to finish for no more gold. Find level that gives 4-5k gold that you can beat in seconds and DON'T do all the goals for it until you're almost done with the game.
Want to like it, but the controls feel very awkward. It's like there's a little quarter second delay between pushing a key and anything happening, and gameplay requires more precision than we're given.
...game accomplishes what it sets out to do, but it fails to be fun. Gameplay is repetitive. Controls feel sluggish. Not much incentive to keep at it past the first few minutes.
