Puddle of the beast are vastly superior to watchtowers. I went about halfway through the game putting my upgrade points mostly into the middle tree and was struggling. Watched the tutorial video, and saw him using mostly puddles. Tried it, and it seems that 3-4 puddles with no upgrades in the third tree are much better than equivalent coin cost worth of watchtowers even with 20+ upgrade points in the middle tree.
I like this. And it's obviously going to get badges soon. I simply request...PLEASE don't make my save file obsolete and force me to start over when badges come out.
...20 minutes into the very first battle, and I'm just getting bored. If I do nothing my cannons take out most everything he sends at me, and if I build units he send out matching units and everything dies. His hero seems to always beat mine one on one then reatreat...it's just an endless back and forth.
I guess if you let the tower do the work you are not advancing (i.e. not gaining the experience, reputation required) fast enough to out match the enemy. It all is in the strategy of using spells and your hero as well as always dominating the field with your units. I recognise this takes time... What are some suggestions you have to improve the entertainment value? Feel free to msg me. Thanks
When I play this, I don't feel like my decisions have any meaningful effect on anything. It seems like randomly clicking on whatever would do just as well as trying to make good decisions.
Please....PLEASE just put the text on the screen r... a... t... h... e... r... t... h... a... n... o... n... e... l... e... t... t... e... r... a... t... a... t... i... m... e.
Why are people still making games where half of gameplay is chasing down loot drops before they disappear? This is just one of those obnoxious things that nobody likes but developers keep insisting on doing for some stupid reason.
Needs some rebalancing. Rage routinely does more damage than powerslice but costs less. Several of the late-middle game weapons aren't really better than things you get sooner. -26% damage +14% with same ailment is speed is not an upgrade for example. It's also not really very clear what the ailments do. Also, xp bar increments WAY too slowly. I don't need to watch the numbers grow for 10+ seconds at a time, but I don't want to skip and not see my levelup gains.
Too many games using an energy model now. This is an interesting concept, but I play the first time for a couple minutes...then I'm done. Nothing more to do. Will I come back? Probably not. Developers need to stop specifically designing games that we can't play unless we come back later.
Now? Limited energy systems in games predate graphical MMOs. The purpose of an energy system is to balance casual players against active players and foster inter-character interaction because you can't do everything yourself. The purpose isn't to annoy you because you "have to come back". You personally may prefer games you can finish in one sitting, but many people prefer having a persistent character in a persistent world. For example: about 3600 people have created a character, while I think the grand total of 2 or 3 people had some kind of problem with the energy system as a whole like you do. So I'm pretty sure developers world-over don't "need" to stop making these games because internet user LordBucket doesn't approve.
Hitting creeps is tied to: making money, regenerating slam energy, ultimate smashes generally staying airborne, and passing the clouds for meteoring down near to ground for easy hellraisers. Makes creep magnet by far the most crucial skill. Late game, 4-5 points of it can make a 150,000 yard difference easily. Creep magnet is basically THE important skill.
Yeah, you totally HAVE TO GRIND THE BLACKSMITH to have any chance of beating this. Even with a 220 strength weapon and 3 ultimate smashes in a single launch, my best time is still only 362k. Max level and best store bought items in the game will NOT be enough.
Even with all characters at max level, vehicles from 4 out of 6 challenges, all three equipped items from blacksmithing or spider drops that are better than the best money can buy, and enough lucky creep hits to do 2 ultimate mashes in a single attempt...I STILL haven't been able to get much above 250,000 yards. How are we supposed to beat this?
...wow. It's *obnoxious* to spend 20+ minutes grinding to unlock a third tier challenge reward only to discover that to vehicle it unlocks REDUCES your speed when it activates.
I should be able to click on items in the store already purchased to see their stats so i can compare what I have to what I'm considering buying without backing and, and making half a dozen clicks to get to my inventory.
Game needs mouseovers for what the skills do. When I'm looking at the shop or my inventory to choose among things, I shouldn't need to back and and make half a dozen clicks to get to another screen just to figure out what the these things actually do.
