Great effort for a first attempt. The only problem I had with this game was figuring out which items actually DID stuff, otherwise, it degenerates into a pixel hunt. I gave it a 4 of 5.
Horrible control scheme to what could have been a decent game. Maybe derivative and quite honestly, retread material. However, having crappy keyboard controls drops my score from a 3 to a 2.
Oh. My. God. This is the first time I've seen all my complaints about the fickle nature of gamers realized in a game. Awesome. I can't even count how many times I've taken time to point out that not every single criticism of a game is even based ON the game or the content thereof. Granted, I've done more than my fair share of bitching about bad games, but I always do it with constructive intentions. Thanks, guys! FOUR of Five!
Guys, if you notice, this game is labeled as a mini. Which means, there's more to come. Not to mention the splash mentioning the upcoming Reincarnation 3 coming soon should be a dead giveaway.
Gets a three, in my opinion. It's a good start, but gets repetitive very quickly without any real change to the gameplay, etc. Keep at it, though. I'm sure you'll come up with something good.
Mediocre. Animation could use a little work, as it's pretty choppy, the controls could definitely use some tightening up, as I feel it's not as responsive as it could be. Sound effects sounded a little tinny, but the music's definitely nice. All in all, it's not a bad effort, just not as good as it could be. This isn't going to replace Crimson Moon or w/e in my list of awesome games featuring female protaganists any time soon. Keep plugging, though, I'm sure you'll come up with something great. ;-)
This is what I hate to see. Endless spam, simply to spam. Gavain, I won't make this personal, but if this is just an exercise for coding, is there really any point in uploading these "games," a term I use VERY loosely, to Kong? It's as bad as those crappy Kiss/Dressup/Fashion show games that clog Kong up constantly. Perhaps it's time that Kongregate start approving uploads before releasing them to us. I'm tired of subpar efforts, overall inertia in regards to design and ideas, poor animations, poor implementation, etc. Obviously, you have SOME skills, man...but you need to put them together to do something meaningful, not just clog up the screen with another inane effort. 1 of 5.
1 of 5. If you're going to make a game copying another well known puzzler, at least make some attempt at originality, or some twist on the genre. This game fails to do either...hard. I also knocked another point off for getting my hopes up for a nuclear war game.
While I love classic Mario games and this one is certainly well made, I crave more responsive controls. Controlling Mario feels like ice skating with a rather clumsy Down's Syndrome individual...and by that, I don't mean any offense to people with Down's. I just wish people would focus on the actual playability of their game, rather than focusing so much on graphics and authentic feel.
I can, however, tell that this game had some serious effort put into it to make it feel like an authentic Mario adventure, which raises my original score by one. 3 of 5. Thanks, Developer! It was an excellent time killer for the first couple of levels I played it, despite being frustrated by the loose controls.
Found a pretty massive bug, bro. When you're dead, zombies really shouldn't continue damaging your barricades until it's into the negatives. =\ 2 of 5.
Didn't like it. If you're going to do Crimsonland flash, do it effing right. Stop skimping on the things that made that game fun, ie, leveling, massive bosses, unlockable weapons, specials, powers, ALL of it. Go big or go home. 2 of 5.
THis game, quite frankly, sucks. There's really no way around it. Not only is it a ripoff, which would be cool, if properly implemented as a tribute game. This game ain't it. The graphics are sloppy, the animations are reminiscent of the C64, no sounds at all, you have to figure out a way to even play it and once you do? Well, calling it a disappointment is an understatment. I can't in good conscience give this anything over than a 1 out of 5.
