It's Crimsonland without the upgrades and leveling up features. Basically just stripped down to its gameplay with random weapon drops instead of purchasing them. Too short, too easy, too simplistic. If you're going to make a Crimsonland clone, then you need to make it BETTER than the original.
This game sucks massive blackhole style. Seriously, if you're going to use the TD kit, AT LEAST LEARN SOMETHING ABOUT HOW TO BALANCE YOUR EFFING GAME. I don't even know where to start with this, but apparently, having a funny song and a bonus means you can HAVE crappy gameplay, I guess.
This game....is easily one of the most frustrating examples of how people can get pissed off and throw monitors and break keyboards. RAWRGH! LOXIESMASH!
Controlling the turtle should be slow and steady, right? NOT SO!
Not a bad little game. Although it's not the first to combine Tetris with something a little more aggressive and despite the subpar graphics, I had some fun with this. :-D
Guys...you DO understand what To Be Continued means, right? It means that this is here to give us a taste and a starting point for a SERIES of games. Which means more awesomeness forthcoming. :-D
This game is woefully unbalanced favorably towards the creeps. Tracking speed on towers is way too slow for some of the haste creeps, so in those cases, the towers mainly don't even bother with the little speedy creeps. Also, waves that consist SOLELY of the little creeps pay you ZERO money, which is a waste of time. I generally make it up to level 40-45 or so, until the added up multi creeps make it past my towers due to crappy firing rates and slow tower tracking. Listen, if you're gonna have hypercreeps, then you need a tower that can compete. NONE of the ones you have here even come CLOSE. Bio Splatter, the quickest turret IN the game still can't accurately track and fire a hypercreep, which is fairly ridiculous. A possible fix would be amp up firing rates on the Bio Splatter and treat it like your "machine gun" tower. Otherwise, I keep my score to a VERY generous 2 of 5.
No, I'd definitely say that Silent Hill was infinitely creepier in mood. It's also far more reminiscent of The Mist. Now, as for those of you atheistic toadies out there, just because you don't agree with the content of the game, does NOT make it a legitimate gripe, guys. Rate the GAME. The storyline is only but ONE aspect of it, not the whole shebang. Granted, it's the most important aspect to me, however, would you be hating on this game if it was about Norse or Greek apocalyptic mythology instead? Probably not. Also, violence, gore and language should only be a legit gripe if you're two. This game obviously was NOT intended as Happy's Huggy Fun Time for the Kiddies! Thanks. 4 of 5.
Aside from the myriad of fanbois who refuse to admit to any flaws in the Sonny franchise, I see nothing new to report here. It's still the same grindfest, with a few new skills and skillsets. The voice acting is atrocious. The graphics and music are pretty much the best part of this game, as they were during the last iteration. The learning curve would be steep for the casual gamer, but I'm sure that the rabid fanbois would shout me down for daring to say anything against Sonny. My 3 of 5 stands.
3/5. I refuse to give a high rating to a game that nerfs itself and doesn't offer the full version. Boo to Armor Games for this and Boo to Krin for allowing it.
I give a four out of five. Although the graphics, animation, music, voice acting and sounds were amazing, the fact of the matter is that this game intends to ape Ninja Gaiden in many ways and in order to be successful YOU MUST ABSOLUTELY HAVE VERY TIGHTLY DONE CONTROL RESPONSE! There's nothing I hate more than being locked into an animation once you start an attack, it locks you into a two hit combo, which makes avoidance almost impossible until you figure out enemy animations. While being very similar to learning "patterns" in any other game, I feel that more responsive controls could solve that issue. Overall, though, amazing game and a job well done, my friend. I look forward to seeing more work from you.
LoXie also demands badges and a save function. :-D
