Funny. Some of the best boss monsters ever, too. Upgrade options are a GOOD idea, yes, TY! Let lunatics like me buff Str to 17 before really noticing the other attributes, it adds challenge to the game. However, total lack of technique options costs the game a point. [Swing, Charge, swing. Repeat until hand dies. Switch to alternate controls. Swing Charge swing...] 4/5 PROBLEM: Final castle, final key[s]. I've mauled the boss baddies, spent hours re-searching every room many times, looked it up, walked across every tile on the boss monsters' rooms [um, for if the key somehow went invisible, but was still there]... Stuck. I'm not doing it all again either, but thanks anyhow. [Save your game when you enter the final castle. Save again if you get all 3 keys; if you instead come up with 2 big dead things and still have locked doors: CTRL+ALT+DEL.]
BTW, players: play Easy if you want to read the story. On Hard: I just finished with ONE fighter. And I like missiles, but later on in Hard mode, you'll need fast cheap firepower flyin' out anywhere you can squirt it, rockets might not add up there. If that's not enough to get more than 3 stars out of you, LET ME TASTE YOUR TEARS
You stole nine-tenths of the ideas for this game from my head! And then improved on them, mostly! ... Despite psychically violating me for my creative talents, you did great, I've fived and faved, and I hope to see the sequel.
I like this a lot. I don't care that the characters are small -- I really like being able to see what's around me; it adds a touch of realism. :P But I agree with the others about the W and S keys. If this was beefed up a little -- like an explorable environment, and maybe hidden crates along the way [but KEEP the randomly generated baddies, it keeps it interesting!], this would go right into my favorites, probably at the head of its genre. Thanks for the game! [Wait; there's a #3? I'm there.]
I agree with Emperor_Z about Anabel being a bit "too" batshit insane; I love her! :D I can't wait for the sequel... The comedy is nice -- it shocks you out of horror, so that the process can be repeated all over again. >;D One problem; I've collected all 49 poos and viewed the stuff on #2, but I can't view that last entry again ["???"], also no badge for it... Odd.
Oops. I need to learn to reload pages before I comment. My bad. Anyway nice game, great graphics, and the upgrade system seems reasonable [aside from...!].
In some ways this may be the greatest Flash game of them all. Why? Because you assault an entire planet. Not just the stuff ON the planet; you are allowed -- nay; ENCOURAGED -- to DEVOUR THE PLANET ITSELF. Yeeheehee hahahah m heheh!!! [Read comments below for cheats and spoilers for the obvious storyline, note that ALL the GOOD stuff is only available on XGens!]
I like the controls! They're still hard to use in practice -- I hope there's a keyboard alternative to the Rage/Bomb ability, because double-clicking while making precise adjustments to complicated mouse movements is difficult, especially on a cheap tiny mouse. [But it's a rage ability, I suppose it makes sense that it isn't instant.] Strafing might probably feel more intuitive if it decreased the targeting reticle's distance by about 75 or 90% for maybe a fifth of a second before the firing direction becomes fixed. It's one of many interesting questions raised by the controls, but it would be hard to use too, unless it was an option on a toggle with sliders for personal preference. [LOL. I hope that idea is worth something anyway. >_<] Variable difficulty would be good, I guess the last level could be considered Hard Mode, but that would mean we all enter Hard Mode with approximately identical arsenals... Great game, fived, really fun for an hour or two.
LoonyLizard: Waves 30, 31, & 32 = all bosses ... Lz_erk: good... i've been waiting 22 waves for the game to start ... LoonyLizard: Wave 33 = last boss. Yep. ... Lz_erk: and then it ends?! with a short little cutscene with bad-ass graphics, the likes of which i've never seen before in Flash -- so why the hell did it only have one sound effect... and where was the challenge?! where's Hard Mode?! the game had only just begun to fight back! :(
Killing 800 thing-thingers in a single arena with a single song playing on loop with the same loadout GETS OLD. I'd much, much rather have a Thing-Thing 4 or 5 or 6 or whatever than an Arena -- but still, this was really good, and just since I'm feeling lazy and nice, I'm not changing my rating to a four.
Easy mode has 99 lives, yay. Error for me at the end but yes, needs badges already... Or maybe not since it's so buggy and twitchy but it's still a good game, why's the rating suck so bad?
LOL, Mission 1, three bullets through the dog's head [and one through the kite], then a round in the target, THEN a round into the girl stroking the doggie. Mission success! Mission failed! No thanks. Maybe when I get my brain back. [No rating given.]
I'm most of the way through Basement 2 on Normal, I've been going room by room covering 100%. As the others have said: The most I've ever found behind a locked door was zombies, and the shotgun is useless. Also the respawn rate is insane, it makes the idea of methodically searching the ... building, whatever it is, a BAD idea. Thanks for the save feature though, without it the game would be unplayable due to bleeding memory like a severed neck. This is a great example of what I want though. Fix it [some? plz?] and I'll five and fave it, plus I'll wish I had a GD cent to my name so I could donate.
Did any of you read the disclaimer? Do any of you have a sense of humor? ... This game is racist against Cacodemons. And it's too hard, needs an easy mode or continue points for wimps like me. 5/5 for humor. [Gay armbands -- LOL]
I liked the extras, but that soundboard from Bunny Invasion One just can't be beat. Thanks for bringing this slice of gory bliss to Kong -- any chance you can get BI1 to stick here too?
That was NOT the Mr. Frost I knew from Bunny Invasion. WHERE'S THE GROSS? Where are the multiple death animations? What happened to Mr. Frost's endearing, often simplistic sadistic wit? ["WHOA-HAWW, that was a good one!"] Why am I an overcritical S.o.B? Well, I loved Bunny Invasion 1 for little more than its atmosphere of misanthropic, nihilistic, deranged sick kicks. That effect was lost just about completely with the introduction of Mr. Suburban Rambo Bunnyslayer. Also: game easy. =/
Oops... Seems that handgun I never used WAS the best weapon, and one of the rifles is lousy. Anyway variation in the characters or difficulty modes or... Bleh. Anyway good n' gory.
Blood... 4/5. Mouse controls are lovely. Less baddies with more brains + less ammo in more useful guns [each weapon with a conceivable purpose perhaps] would've been 5/5. About barrels and mines -- been there. Didn't work for Boxhead, it's not fun here either. Quick wave interludes to set up or [gasp] optional automatic placement would put this over the top. Kong score functionality would be nice. Overall great, repetitive but big. Going back to Molotoving my way to whereever I notice the scenery beginning to loop...
